I think they are choosing to buy personally because they think that they can buy for a cheapest price or they are just afraid to scam by exchange sites.. or they dont know how to buy in exchange site so they are buy crypto someone that they can ask how to deal with them..

Yeah this is true,because individuals give you the best price indeed.Also in most cases,you are pretty safe,
and if you use trusted site you won't get scammed.But sometimes buying from individuals may be slow :/

It could be more anonymous if you buy from a forum member and possibly even faster than most exchanges if you pick the right seller.
It's riskier however, but you should be fine if you trade with someone who's trustable.

i have zero desire to buy privately. too much risk and too much hassle. i'll stick with the tried and tested routes and i don't got any need to hide my identity or anything.

its still privacy issues. Most exchange sites like bittrex don't ask for personal information except the emails you use upon registering but even that you get to share an info of your life.
If one intend to keep privacy, he may prefer a trusted individual at least its this guy that only knew about you. 

If you've encounter zazarb, that guy must have a huge email list of bitcoin users by now lol

I buy from individuals because the verification process on big exchanges take so long and are relatively unnecessary.

The main reason would be that you can boycott the transaction fees that exchange sites request. This might be significant if you are trading large sums of money. But make sure you are trading with someone you REALLY trust because there is no escrow on this forum.

In my view every trader have their own profit margin. So it gives the buyer few option to go for the one with better profit and convenient with.

I think main reason is, some payment methods are not accepted by exchange platform for deposit for eg skrill, neteller etc. So people are willing to buy bitcoin here with even higher price than market price.

And no any personal documents are needed for even big purchase.

Individual can give you better price then exchange site, also like its said above some sites require certain payment methods. For example someone can buy certain altcoins much easier from someone close, and give him cash for that (every country have different currency, not everyone can buy things online with their credit cards).
Also people can feel much safer when they buy from people they know, or have trust. But people should be careful to not be scammed in this process. So before you buy coins from some individual you don`t know, check first their trust rating here, if not here ask people who traded with him about their experience.

As I mentioned before the deal person to person is the best way, sometimes safest but not always the fastest way and probably not always the cheapest way as those that sell outside want to earn more than exchanges.

People on the forums do not ask for identification (KYC). Another reason is they may want a large quantity but do not want to drive the price up, instead they want it all at X.

for me there is no reason i could buying bitcoin from individual in these forum because i considers buying bitcoin using exchange are more safer and low fees than buy it personally but if someone else want to sell to me his bitcoin but the rates are more low than usual exchange i would like to trade with him but still needed escrow if he want to trade with me

Yeah, usually individuals offers more price than the trading sites do. And besides, transactions in individuals are more faster than in the trading sites and you don't have a competitors when it comes to price. Also you will not need to pay some fees when transacting. The only disadvantages of trading in an individual is the safety. Many are being scammed during individual exchanges because they do not follow the safety precautions in transacting. But, this disadvantages can be countered easily, hire some Escrow that will make your transaction smooth and free from scams.

If you know the guy offline then it is ok to proceed dealing with him,had one guy who I've been trading my bitcoin for the last two years it used to be paypal,if the guy has a clear conscience and he wants a good reputation for his buy and sell business it is ok to transact with him..

On exchange websites, you can never know if the user has sold his account or not while on the forum, people easily detect it with the password log and change in the writing style. Here users are much more reliable and with the use of an escrow, the transactions are secure compared to exchange websites that don't even help you if the person hasn't sent you the payment in exchange for your money. Like on Paxful, a user complained about not receiving the bitcoins and the escrow on the website told him he cannot help him.

I think because of the rate or they can buy for better cheap price also they are afraid to exchange if the sites is not well known better to deal in real people..
