So if financial institutions which are supposedly manipulating price of gold, will decide that gold must go even lower, to help themselves with FIAT economy, value of this coin will go down too? I mean all gold ethusiasts I know tell me that price of gold is kept down, but if it is so controlled, why should it be better hedge than relatively decentralized Cryptos?

Gold price is manipulated by big ones. Nobody knows what their intentions are. Real value of investment gold bars is higher than current market price.
Intention of XAURUM creators was to create a perfect money (currency). They have decided for gold base because of historically proven reasons. I support this decision.
Compared to other cryptocurrencies XAURUM has base value greater than zero (much greater). Base value can not even theoretically go down. There are many mechanisms that are pushing the base value up (mining, minting, transaction fees, burning, allies,...).
Of course the base value is the only value of XAURUM affected by gold price.

They went ICO and bailed 3-4 months into their project.

RICO kind of gave it away with the DailyModo theft being from Costa Rica (rica and rico mean the same thing in spanish)

There  is the fact that the coin have ben running for two years i think it is and has increased in gold value to 220 % of the base price

You get 25% of discount on that. So its approximately 0,055475*0,75=0,04160625.
The price fix should be announced just before the RICO start.

We ask all old Xaurum users to use the rico.xaurum.org page to exchange the old Xaurum for the new. The new funds, that will be used for minting, will be collected and minted on 3 days (first mint will be Thursday, 21th of July at around 12.00 CET).

its both, the existing xaurum will be exchanged and split, and new will be created by collecting funds, buying gold and minting new xaurum
