i write to resolve my problems by myself. It's nice to put your words on a book.

And nice to see himself thinking last years

And you ask what kind of genre writer? Poetry or prose? Probably every person in my youth at least a couple of lines rhymed. Someone so wonderful was the rhyme that later became a profession to write poetry, or prose while working as an editor at the journal, do not type the complex text for publication.

I am a writer, but what I write are technical reports, scientific papers, sciemtific publications and the likes cause Im a researcher.
And i do it for a living not to escape reality but to escape poverty - hopefully. 
But in our profession, we don't get paid with big sums. Just enough.
