Now that I'm legally allowed, I applied to McDonalds and KFC. If you don't have one in your country, they are both fast food places. $11-$15 an hour I think.

Anyway I got an interview but as its my first time I have no idea what to do, anyone here with experience got any suggestions?

:-)

Thanks

Try to answer their questions as confidently as you can.  Try to think of some personal strengths you have so if they ask you about them you have something ready to present them with.

Try to eliminate saying "like" or "uh" or "um" if those are words you say a lot when nervous.

Interviews are tricky, you have to be personable and relaxed while also looking respectful and professional.

Its your first interview so they are going to be really easy on you. Just be yourself and be honest.

The comments above are good tips as well.. funny thing I had this same conversation with my daughter two months ago.

Be confident but not arrogant.  That is the most important thing for an interview.  Also make sure you look nice.  Wear your Sunday best, shower and trim fingernails (very important if you work with food).

Good luck!  We've all been there.   Smiley

Remember do not sit unless they offered you a seat. A firm handshake is a must and your clothes should be appropriate and, your posture and aura should give off confidence but you should still have himility, nobody likes a know it all

Of course not HAHAHAHA

Anyway, just listen carefully and answer in a straight, bold manner but with respect. Show them that you're eager to work with them. Don't always question about how to get a raise or valid reasons for an excuse or something like that because that's definitely going to fail your interview.

Picture the guy or gal who's interviewing you straining out a huge log on the toilet.

That'll nullify any superiority they have over you.

Just be confident to yourself and answer all questions would be asked and be honest. I know the feeling when you're nervous on front on the interviewer. Smiley

Don't be surprised or upset if you don't get the job, ridiculously, even places like McDonalds will have idiotic expectations of perspective employees, it's no wonder youth unemployment is so high with the way these companies are run.

This is a well guide in job interviews:
1. You need to have proper sit infront of interviewers.
2. Just straight your answer to a question when interviwers ask.
3. Avoid playing eyes or something in your surrounding infront of interviewers.
4. Confidence is a mass. But telling the truth is much better.
5. Pray after the interview.

Lie a lot. It is not joke. If you want to get any kind of job, you need to be bad motherfucker and present yourself as amazing man.
So don't be afraid to lie that you can do things you never even heard of.

Seems like the interview should have got over by now.  Wink How did it go? if it didn't work out well, relax and try out your next offer. Be positive. If it worked then, congrats and enjoy your new job.

I just remembered when I faced my first interview way back in 1998 . Yes its bit upset when you are really in need of job .

Want to suggest

1) Be relaxed
2) Don't try to behave too smart . Try to express yourself as you are . But be confident.
3) Dress properly and be there on time.

Rest your luck . Best of luck

Hate interviews.I am always uncomfortable and on edge when doing them yet looking back even the ones I thought disastrous were actually allright.Unlike me some people are naturally great at interviews.Good luck on yours you will be fine and even if you dont get the job you are obviously motivated and will eventually get something.
