The Future of the world is MULTIPLE crypto currencies not just BTC

I dont think bitcoin will kill off all other ALT coins. Imagine 5 or 10 years from now end users are selling their products online and accept multiple forms of payment BTC, ETH, LTE, etc. Why not??? Just look at this chart here.

This is the total percentage of the market that Bitcoin dominates. And since the beginning you can see that the peaks are becoming less and less. So this means ALTs are taking up a bigger percentage of the total Crypto market cap.

I think BITCOIN will be a STRONG crypto. It will be the mother of all cryptos, people will buy it to branch into other ALTs if need be.

People are now actually doing this if you look at Yobit and other exchanges people are more than willing to trade their bitcoin to other altcoin because they believe that one of these altcoins can and will rise to be one of the top crypto currency and be accepted by merchants

i really really struggle to believe that. all they're after is more bitcoin. anyone who thinks their pet coin is gonna take over the world is gonna have a bad time.

before anything else can happen, one crypto has to break out into the wider world. it's no good staying in the weird little corner it's in now.

i think there'll be alts that fulfill different purposes but bitcoin will always be the one. i also think that not a single one of the current alts will be anything other than dead and forgotten in a decade.

I agree with you man. They just trade their bitcoin to other altcoin in my opinion because they believe it will rise someday but I don't think they are holding it for years they are just holding it for 6 months at the best I think. Well it may be possible for the future world to have multiple crypto currencies but I think it would be hard, it would be hard because only time can tell what will really happen in the future.

currently i'm will not closing my eyes for other cryptos indeed Bitcoin the first and the biggest cryptocurrency but if in the future the particular altcoins could survive and have big market and allowed to use i would like to use them too and bitcoin will lead them to the glory of cryptocurrency

It's better for the crypto currency community to adopt at least 5 crypto coin or more, so people will have more choice and there will be balance in the eco system I see that happening in the next five years and those that are on the top 10 coinmarketcap on that time will definitely be on one billion marketcap..

its meant that you want to say that the world should not use a single currency. i think if the world will use a sing currency it will really solve so many problems. i think there will be one and equal currency in all over the world and there will no up and down in any area in the price of the currencies.

I agree with the op, bitcoin will be just one of many currencies, there will be product specific coins, reward coins and various other coins that have a specific purpose.  Bitcoin may be the most mainstream coin but there will definitely be other major coins out there.

altcoins will always exist alongside bitcoin, no matter when we are, now or 10 years in the future. it is the open source new technology nature that makes it so everybody can contribute to the advancement of technology be improving things. but they may not all be as successful though.

if bitcoin lasts another 3-4 decades then that must mean that it's become a success. success equals a bunch of people pouring money into it.

how do you replace something if a vast amount of money is tied up in it? why would anyone want to replace something? does every single human who's involved agree with every single other human to abandon bitcoin at the same moment?

people are not gonna look at some alt after decades of bitcoin running smoothly and think 'hmm, that one's got a 'like' button in the wallet. guess it'd better sell everything before it collapses when everyone else has the same idea and jump on board.'

this ain't a website you can abandon with a few clicks for the next hot one. the incentive is there to keep improving it.

yes off course because world is changing financial era. Bitcoin is just one of altcoin among many more  having highest value for exchange in market globally  and can also be exchanged in fiat currency.

This magic is just because of blockchain and cryptography.

World is already start to go beyond as steemit formed blockchain social network.

I totally agree with everyone that says that this statement is true. We can not only rely on btc.

do you really believe that any of the current alts are gonna be here in ten years? bitcoin itself might not be. the only thing it has is first mover advantage and that may well be enough.

all the other ones are pretty much nowhere and only live on exchanges. the tech's gonna get better, the scamminess is gonna get weeded out and new waves of buyers are not gonna put up with the shit that we do.

Whoever comes up with a Alt coin linked to some killer App, will be the king of the Crypto hill. I have no doubt that one of the Alt coins will rise to the top soon. Bitcoin only have

Exchange paradise to collect fees from converting the coins. Having one coin like Bitcoin everyone accepts is better for everyone (except for the exchanges obviously).

It is not chaos if there are a lot of coins, but it would be chaos if there is not a coin everyone accepts - then you would need to use exchanges very often.
