Will bitcoin still be there in 2020 or will some other technology better than bitcoin take over?

I fully expect bitcoin to still be around in 2020 but your question should be do you think it will still have the same value. If a competitor cvoin pushes it out of the market then all the money thats currently in bitcoin could flow into whatever is the new coin at the time. Id say by 2030 bitcoin would be officialy dead though. I just think another coin will topple it eventually.

due to the increasing demand from 2009 to 2016 i highly likely suspect that bitcoin will surely be at the top at 2020. but still since technology is improving and more and more coins are coming i can say that there might be some coins who can give tough competition to btc.

2020 isn't that far away, which gives me total confidence of Bitcoin still being the main crypto currency. I don't even think something else will come even close in the coming 10 years. No need to worry about that. Smiley

bitcoin will survive as long as there is even one person using it.

but to stay on top that is another question. and i think by 2020 which is only 4 years from now i don't think bitcoin's position can be weakened. and bitcoin will stay on top and will even grow so much bigger.

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.
Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

bitcoin could survive from 2009 untill 2016 even though when it first appeared nobody thought bitcoin will be growth and reach the highest prices and regarding your questions i'm pretty sure with my opinion that bitcoin will still there in 2020 and other technology could not take over bitcoin

halving the next to fall in 2020, in fact I think when the price will rise higher.

I think bitcoin still strong enough to survive until 2030, and after that I do not know, if bitcoin depleted mined. the possibility in the future there will be new technologies.

Will bitcoin still be there in 2020 or will some other technology better than bitcoin take over?

these days I keep seeing the same question about another altcoin replacing bitcoin, I mean it has always been one of the biggest questions among bitcoin users but not this much. do "you" have any specific reason for asking this right now.

but to answer your question; from what I have witnessed so far from bitcoin I come to believe that bitcoin has a pretty good future and will grow a lot more in a couple of years which may very well be 2020. so in short , no nothing will take over bitcoin by 2020. but there is always new technologies that hasn't been invented yet which can start to compete with bitcoin in the future.

i have no doubts about bitcoin being still here in the year 2020. by that time the next block halving will happen where block rewards will drop to 6.25btc per block.

2020? Omg yes of course! That's 4 years away! What do you think's going to happen? Some implosion of the world? Bitcoins are here to stay for a hell of a lot longer than 4yrs.

Maybe both.

There is no reason to Bitcoin disappear in less than 4 years, but it is more than enough for a "better"(of course there are different definitions of what "better") appear.

But Bitcoin also is the infrastructure, not only the tech, and infrastructure won't appear overnight, no matter how good the tech is

I think bitcoin will be used forever, and probably will grow. use of which has many advantages compared to the other will make bitcoin be better, and will be used as laternatif payments in the future, I believe bitcoin will be increasingly important as the current dollar in the future, and the price will certainly be high and stable

It will definitely still be around as it is only a few years away, price wise it could be anything at all hopefully in the region of double what it is now.

Bitcoin is here for 6 years already and bitcoin will go nowhere in 2020. Because the world is changing to use bitcoin. People will use bitcoin a lot when in 2020. Just trust me.

It's hard to tell if it will survive or not. That's why it is a high risk investment. I am counting on bitcoin being around for a long time to I am putting a lot of time in to it. Hopefully it will pay off for us.

As long as there is a computer running the protocol, Bitcoin will be alive. Can't see it happening in the next decades.

But the blockchain technology is immortal
