Hi, I'm not bothered about privacy, I just want to buy some BTC with a debit card the same as buying anything else online. Any suggestions?
I'm not interested in scanning in My ID, or doing phone verification, etc. I may as well use banker money if that's a requirement. Also could anyone explain why buying bitcoin seems to be like the old days when a guy had to walk in front of a car waving a flag?
Thanks a lot and all the best, Andy

Go to Currency Exchange board and find someone that will sell you bitcoins for whatever it is you're willing to use. But please use escrow.

I can't offer any advice about where to buy with a debit card where you won't have to show id since i use local bitcoins where this is a must. Using paypal you can buy in various places without id though. Why you need id to buy what can be classed as digital good i don't know though, last time i bought a game off steam i didn't need id.

You can't! There are a lot of criminals out there waiting for an opportunity to unload their stolen credit cards, any business that accept credit card payments for bitcoins without some major verifications will close its doors in the first day.

This security measures or features is to curb money laundry and other financial crimes but if you want to bypass it you need to take the following steps, Create paypal account and verify it with the debit card. Open a new thread at the currency exchange section here or create an account at paxful or virwox then exchange your debit cards via paypal gateway. Hope this helps.

I use cex.io. I've used them for years, very happy with them. I did have to show my id though. I live in Canada, we have a bit more difficulty getting a good provider here. I don't know of any that doesn't want my personal information. Hi, I'm not bothered about privacy, I just want to buy some BTC with a debit card the same as buying anything else online. KYC rules. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Know_your_customerPretty sure Virwox still works. I haven't used it in like 2 years, but you don't need ID there. You can also buy with Paypal there. You have to buy another currency first, I think it was called Linden? The currency for Second Life, anyways. Then you exchange it for BTC afterwards. I've used this method a bit, but not for 2 years.

I used Circle for the first time yesterday. They wanted my phone number for 2FA and my debit card. I bought some BTC within a minute of signing up. They didn't ask me for any verification other than that.

They didn't ask any verification for maximum amount of 50 Euro in bitcoin per day. You will buy with a much higher price than the market there actually but they offer a lot of options like, Skrill,Paypal, Visa , Mastercard and a few other options I only saw at their website. I did a try to sell 25 Eur of bitcoin as that was the minimum with selling price lower than the market and it went smooth, after 1st confirmation I had the money on my skrill. Try it , its mainly for people who don't want any verification but even there if you want to buy high amounts you have to verify yourself.

Give localbitcoin.com a go. They don't ask for ID only some vendors do. It is just a matter of making a simple bank transfer into their account and then be paid in bitcoin. Or vice versa. They use escrow as well so the protection is good. There is also a time frame before it cancels the order adding more security.

If you don't like localbitcoins try paxful, I always get a good deal there and they offer different types of payments including gift cards etc. Just make sure you trade with someone with a high trust level to make sure you don't get scammed, you could even start with a small amount first.

Yes localbitcoin.com is best for you in that case if u didnt want to give your identity proof documentss to them because there it is not neccessary to verify your account in order to trade there.Yes some users want id proofs but you will find many peoples there you can either buy and sell bitcoins without the id verification.

I think you must try buying bitcoin on paxpul or localbitcoin because on there you can Contact the seller or you can try buying bitcoin on currency exchange board at this forum. Maybe there are people will trade with you. Good luck

Since it's a debit card, go to the nearest ATM, get the money then buy BTC either from a BTM, either from somebody from ocalbitcoins you'll have to meet face to face. Or, since the debit card has usually a bank account linked to it, make a bank transfer - almost all the businesses that sell BTC accept bank transfer, from what I know.

The phone verification thing is for your protection as much as pleasing The Man. Your account could be hacked and your card milked considerably easier without it.

I think he just want to stay anonymous, because giving our identity carelessly could lure some scammers. That's not a big issue imo, as long as he doesn't do something illegal.

Yeah this sucks. My local exchange and BTCBTCBTC services provider did recently adapt a similar system where they need you to upload an ID and take a selfie with an ID too, then send it to them. I really didn't wanna surrender my privacy, but I don't have a choice because there aren't that many good exchanges here.
If someone knows a SEA exchange that does what the OP wants, let me know too.

I just want to warn you from purchasing Bitcoin with Credit Card on newer unknown sites. Many of them are marketing themselves now as perfect service to purchase BTC. But they might be unstable and short lived or imply a scam sites or suddenly went offline. Like this service: https://floorguru.co/maintenance.htmlIt is better to submit to KYC procedure than be scammed.
