Trading vs Gambling

Well for me I like both but do prefer gambling on sports as I bet most days and seem to do much better then day trading which I have since given up on as I lost some BTC day trading so now I just stick to buying coins for the long term and just wait for them to go up to make my profit.  

Gambling on sports is a bit safer though as you can practically know how each team or individual plays his game before staking a bet unlike casinos and other quick killer gambling games. Trading in the other hand is safe because you have parameters that you can set to guide your investments and so if there's any decline you'll not completely loose out.

but if we don't have skill in sports then its the same as we are prepare to losing our money. only people which have good skill in sports that can win. this is the same as trading, if we don't have skills in trading, then we can not make profit. but i am prefer to do trading than playing gambling because i want to make money in trading.

Trading does really need experience and knowledge in able for you to be profitable but knowing that learning trading wont really be as easy as we think and cant be done overtime. Same as yours i would suggest trading rather than on doing gambling. They have both risk on losing money but gambling do really have more the risk and we do all know that. Trading can be only like gambling if you dont really know what you are doing.

If you don't know what you are doing trading has even more risks than gambling. Because with gambling you are prepared for the bad outcome knowing that it all depends on luck and with trading you might think that buying a rising coin you can't lose so you can invest everything, which you wouldn't do whith gambling.

It is indeed that trading really requires experience and knowledge for you to be able to earn profit and same as gambling it is very risky. But still, I much prefer to use trading because gambling is all about luck thus if you have no enough luck then you'll lose unlike trading as long as you have skills, experience and knowledge there no way you lose your money.

I think both are equally at risk of losing but if you already have a better trading science you choose it instead of choosing a gamble that has a key word of luck.
I myself am currently playing both I make a little capital to gamble and partly for trading as long as I do not focus on gambling I'm sure all is going well.

Trading bitcoin (like Forex) is almost the same as gambling IMO, unless you do it with effort and analysis, it might even be very hard for newbies to do analysis from my previous experience and more of gamblers rather than traders.
Of course trading is better than gambling, it's just common sense considering gambling is trading but with negative odds (house edge).

There are no skills which are needed in cryptocurrency trading. it is the same old story over and over again: people are throwing educated guesses and whoever guesses correctly think that the is really worthy of being called bitcoin guru. I know more people who lost money because of failed trading decision than who bankrupt purely due to gambling failure. Trading = Gambling, for the most part.

The problem is that most that trade cryptocurrencies do not have a formal education and sometimes they do not even read a book about the subject so when they are trading they are not suing any kind of technique or knowledge so they are mostly guessing instead of taking an informed decision.

It happens in the noob traders not knowing where to invest and having not enough knowledge in altcoin trading .Some act like a pro trader i know crypto's that eth something like that but they didn't even know how eth works not only in trading .They only know the coins but not the real aspects of a coin.

Correct, trading can be profitable, but to think we have mastered trading without doing any trade is incredibly dumb, when we see a chart it is very easy to tell when you would have sold and bought but when it comes to actually doing it and trying to earn money then that is a different story.

You will stay on your passion and will just follow what you want to do. But I will stay with trading, I find good way of earning there.

I do not think that something needs to be your passion, the most important part is if you are able to be any good at it, if you are not then it does not matter that gambling is your passion you are going to lose money at it, also getting profits in gambling is extremely hard so I will recommend that you try to find something else.

I do not think that something needs to be your passion, the most important part is if you are able to be any good at it, if you are not then it does not matter that gambling is your passion you are going to lose money at it, also getting profits in gambling is extremely hard so I will recommend that you try to find something else.

Well people can only give you a piece of their minds and it would always be up to you if you'd consider other people's insights. Gambling may be yoir passion and i think people like you already know also the consequences of having such hobbies. I agree since a gambler or a trader, both have their money at risk. The only difference is that in gambling(dice,slots etc.), its faster to make/break a profit.

When people think of traders they think of day traders, people that do not hold their position for very long, when someone holds for months or even years then he is not a trader in my mind but an investor that is willing to ride the ups and downs of the market since he sincerely believes in what he is investing.

Just curious since the last discussion I had was about gambling vs trading. I know trading can seem to be a bit of a gamble as well, but I see it a little bit like poker. It's a combination of math and psychology. Maybe not the same ratio though, just generalizing  

I do both, I gamble and I trade, however those activities are completely different from each other, trading is an activity that you do mostly to earn money, while gambling is an activity in which you spend money in order to get fun, so even if there is the possibility to make money in gambling and get your fun too that is not something that you should be relying on.

You are doing both of them, than you know better that which way is better for earning wise, and where you could earn more in trading or in gambling. I know your answer, that you must have earned from trading than gambling. Then who will win in Trading vs Gambling. Of course Trading. But as a gamble we will continue both of them, even we have not enough earning from gambling.

You are correct I have earnings in trading while in gambling I have losses so it is not difficult to figure out which activity the most profitable but as I said gambling is not something that I do to obtain profits it is something I do to relax myself after a difficult week in the office.

I agree with you, though I believe trading is about information gathering, so I think we better have skill on picking the best information made available to us through researches.  I also believe that there is a huge difference between gambling and trading in terms of risk management.  The difference is that, in trading we can nullify risk while gambling does not have that option.

The fact is that gambling can very quickly bring losses to a gambler, but at the same time of trade, Even when you collect all this information that you need to know about the currency, it will still bring some profit. Therefore, risks are disparate.

Trading is similar to gambling but they are not totally similar. They have still some differences, we are just talking about the risk that we may take in trading and gambling. If you want to be safe with your bitcoins and you want to earn slowly but surely then you may choose to go with trading. But if you want fast way of earning, go for gambling.

Trading is similar to gambling but they are not totally similar. They have still some differences, we are just talking about the risk that we may take in trading and gambling. If you want to be safe with your bitcoins and you want to earn slowly but surely then you may choose to go with trading. But if you want fast way of earning, go for gambling.

In general, trading is not similar to gambling at all. Although that does depend on the game. Poker can be similar to trading, since it involves a psychological aspect. But traditional "gambling" games are nothing like trading, unless the "trader" has no clue what he's doing and trading blindly.
