Gambling cant really be consider as an alternative on making money for longer periods unlike on trading which we can eventually make our own ways to enhance our skills and to be profitable on long term. I think you are right trading is serious business there are strategy, method on trading activity include the method analisys technical or fundamental in trading, trading can be learned to get active income from trading,
but gambling is very full depending on the lucky, without method, strategy in gambling for get big betting

Very profitable is a sentence that is only suitable given to trading. Gambling can also be profitable, but only profitable, not very. The risk on gambling is bigger than trading. That is why the phrase "very profitable" can not be given to gambling.
