the season of meme coins is already ended mate so don't expect it will gradually making good progress again because it's impossible to happen on this situation wherein a bunch of new projects making hype as well.. Its very rare for a meme coins to be honest.. Wait until you see some good news around the internet because for sure these meme coin will explode again as they're relying what's happening in the internet.. So wait for their right season instead.

A lot of people want to see DOGE die, I don't know what is the advantage if DOGE dies, but for me who still hold DOGE optimistic that DOGE is a promising coin, DOGE has gone through a difficult time a few years ago and it's time for DOGE to be on par with other old coins or At least DOGE can stay in the top 25.

In my opinion dogecoin will never die, but without the full support of Elon Musk, DOGE's growth will be stunted and wither, as the saying goes "live is reluctant to die don't want" that's a suitable description in my opinion,  is proven after Elon Musk never again makes posting on twitter about DOGE, made the price of DOGE relatively down and is now in the range of $0.2, where currently DOGE's growth is relatively very stable.

haha, funny thread. some of the previous answers didn't even notice that this thread is from 2016. Back then the DOGE price was lower by a factor of 1000. 
I don't see DOGE dead. As much as I hated the hype in the beginning of the year (mostly because I sold too early  ), now the time of the DOGE clones is at it's peak (at least I hope it will go down from here  ). Successfull things are copied to try to repeat their success, and DOGE is still a top 10 coin to this date. If we see a general market move updwards then DOGE will also profit. In a bear market it could lose 90% (like most Alts) though

Dogecoin is dead before not now its all normal.

DOgecoin never died , it just take a break for a while wayback but the return is really huge,  and now you can see after years of this post that Doge did recovered and make a comeback with very High price in demand, though subside now yet the price is still high compared to when OP posted this thread.

Hype doesn't last forever, quantity can not supersede quality, and you are witnessing it first hand, no matter how hard they keep trying to artificially pump dogecoin the fact remains it is a meme coin with no real usage, even this current price seems overpriced base on what dogecoin real-life usage is,
It was a short-term opportunity to make a huge profit but I think that is as far as it goes.

However you should know that Elon musk is still behind the Doge coin and he may recreate the hype in the near future. I am not a big fan of doge or meme coins but i am holding doge, just in case Elon Musk again creates the hype and it starts to pump.

It is the first and oldest meme coin, so there is always a chance that it may pump again.

There is no real demand for DOGE, it only rises due to hype, so the main reason why it would rise again if there's a hype which I don't think will happen anytime soon. This coin will just likely to fall as Elon stopped hyping it already, so prepare for a possible huge dump, real talk man.

I agree that even spaceX is going to accept dogecoins, we are not seeing any demand for it; I think it should be a coin that should be under 1 cent per doge. Truly there is no reason for it to be anything more than 1 cent, it should be under 1 cent because that is exactly how much it worths right now in my mind.

It doesn't improve on anything, it doesn't get used, it doesn't have any technological features that makes sense. It is just a coin that was created "for fun" and that's it, it was created for fun and we had fun and that's enough. I will never understand the people who try to make money from doge because they really worth nothing in the end and should keep on being zero eventually, people should wake up about it.

It is so so so funny to read all of these recent comments in this thread  People seem to forget dogecoin is around for so many years and one year ago it was not even 50 satoshi, while today it is still around 350 satoshi.

doge may decrease its value but the lifespan of doge i believe will be much much longer than shib or floki. doge has been here since 2013 and it is not going anywhere. without this hype, doge has been silently used by traders as transfer purposes as well as by gamblers. now, it seems the fees are getting high also in doge. so other alts like trx is now considered alternative for transfer purposes. as we have observe, doge is now considered to be more of a speculative coin as compared before. but look at now, when the op created this thread, it was 2016. wonder his reaction when it was hyped this year reaching bout 73cents.

This thread is created 5 years ago which the value is almost close to zero $ each. I remember holding dogecoin too on there mobile wallet app and wait to connect on so many peers just to send transaction that time. During 2016 there's a point that Doge is already stagnant in the bottom and no one use it anymore since there's a lot of new PoW coin out there that profitable compared to it that's why the OP decided to create this topic and he has a point that time. Only Elon Musk revive this dead token out of nowhere for the reason he has a lot of sense humor he use it to troll on twitter.

Dogecoin is not dead it has still a value of 0.2$ so it is still alive , we can only called it dead when the price of Dogecoin will fall into 0 for now we need to stay calm , I notice that the best investment for now is  in metaverse coin  most of the metaverse has rise continuously even if btc is falling so I think the best strategy is to invest in metaverse coin.

if i'm not mistaken in that year (when the OP wrote the thread) the price of doge at that time was almost close to 0 hence the OP made a thread like this.
and surprisingly, from 2016 until now doge is still able to survive even though in the past two years their prices have skyrocketed because of the pump and manipulation of the influencers.
On the other hand, the doge community is still there for now and I think it's true that the doge won't die that fast, especially now
