Oh my..  Shocked

That is an absolute beast of a coin, if you could even call it that - more like a plate Grin

~20 Troy oz of silver?! Precious gemstones... You went all out with this OP Grin

Well, this should be interesting to say the least.

You need to set some rules for your auction, start time, end time, bid increments, whether bids must be in both BTC and ETH? Also if this will end at a fixed time, or whether bids in last x minutes of auction increase duration by x minutes. Escrow available with a trusted member?

On that note, good luck with this!

Wow  Shocked

thanks  Grin the production cost for this coin is very high. yup, ~20oz of 999 silver. a larger amount of silver is needed to conceal 2 private keys(btc+eth) easily, though a smaller sized coin is still possible and more challenging.
Bids will be in BTC for ease of bidding.. start time would be now. Would update the other rules later in op. Escrow is available with trusted member.

Also, I suggest not having the auction here but to rather have it in the actual auctions subsection since people can edit their bids here.  Smiley

redeeming works the same way, e.g. as visiting blockchain.info and sweeping your btc private keys. Yes, you'll need to remove the gems to retrieve the physical private keys hidden inside.

Is there a way to sign a message??  as your password was recently reset and you have not posted since March/Decemeber

Also, I would require an escrow before placing a bid Cheesy

ok can. Regarding an escrow, have not yet decided but i might require copies of winner's full identification for this particular coin if escrow is used.

How does one "find" the private key inside if it is hidden without accidentally destroying the private key?

a slot is hidden inside, right beneath the precious gemstones, invert the coin and the high-grade stainless steel plates with engraved private keys(btc&eth) will slide out onto your palm. There's a little jingling sound of the plates if you shake the coin. Smiley

Well, that is totally a new concept an I very much like it.

But in case I win the auction, will you be willing to load the 1BTC and 1ETH on the addresses I specify?

This is because I want to have it as a collector's item and will never plan on breaking the gems to reveal its private key.
So that way I can spend the money in case of emergency without touching the coin and losing its overall aesthetics.

It would appear not.

If you check the pictures, you will see addresses already engraved on the coin.

I assume these will be the ones loaded with funds.

The Ethereum side has already been funded with 1 ETH.

In that case, i can do another option of not funding the 1 BTC since coin is already funded with 1 ETH.

Okay that will suffice unless there is enough surge on Ethereum economy that I'll have to trade them off. Tongue
But anyways, that will help a lot. Thanks for accepting the offer. Smiley

You didn't quite understood my point.
I know the addresses are engraved. But I do not want to store the coins in those addresses as I do not intend to break the gems and reveal its private key in first place.

Rather, I want them being stored on a different address provided by me so that in case of emergencies I can spend the money without doing anything to the coin.
