I live on a small Island and because one company here made a bitcoin debit card bit ripped everyone off, people are wary of it so I haven't seen any shops here take bitcoin at all. I know the University of Nikosia takes it for student fees. It was the first university to ever accept bitcoin in the world I think but among the lay people, no one barley uses it. I am for sure the minority here.

Wow! Universities accepting bitcoin as a tuition fee? That's kind of new to me. May I ask where is that? For I may research some and maybe share it with others.

Yes that thing is possible and i have heard that universities accepts bitcoin on paying tuition fees. Ive heard its in philippines an application they use, i know because i have a friend here online from philippines and saying its possible to pay its tuition fees at university on where he study. Thats a very good innovation of bitcoin to offer such service would give convenience to anyone.

In my country, bitcoin can cannot be used to buy anything. Even the government does not recognize bitcoin. But there are people who normally exchange and nobody prevents them. They normally use bitcoin in online purchases only and also exchanging with the local currency.

It is good to know that there are already a lot of places in the world that recognizes bitcoin and accepts it as form of payment. We, as bitcoin owners, must continue to help make bitcoin more widely accepted, not just online but also in our local shops, groceries and malls. It would be nice to live in a world where every transaction is as simple as sending of bitcoin away.

actually the problem is that here in our country people have no much knowledge about bitcoin. therefore we have very little opportunities to use bitcoin  because most of the shop keeper do not accept bitcoin.

Hi, bitcoin users i am from the Philippines. Willing to know if bitcoin is accepted to in your country. Because right now i have used one service that allows me to pay online or shopping buy steam and load so i am wondering if bitcoin is being used or known in your country.    Huh Huh Huh Huh

Whether or not bitcoin is accepted in my country, I don't really mind that much. The important thing for me is the fact that I use it at the moment according to what I want to use it - if my country will it or not, doesn't really matter at all for me.

I play online casino and do some trading and exchanges with bitcoin and doge and that's the only thing I use with my bitcoin.

Most of the users are facing the same problem of not able to spend it at any local places, as majority of countries are not into bitcoin yet, and it will take long time to happen.

No in my country Bitcoin is illegal currency. The biggest problem in my homeland still Bitcoin not become famous. Yes, educated people also don't know what Bitcoin is. Surrounding my friends circle no one knows what Bitcoin is. I am teaching everyone now. And we have only less sites that they can convert Bitcoin to local currency. Except that, we don't have any source to use our Bitcoin.

Yes someway to use bitcoin is our freedom. But if there are countries prohibit bitcoin and has no legislation governing it is better not to use bitcoin. because as citizens we should not obey the rules, otherwise we could be prosecuted. But in my country bitcoin is still in a state of uncertain between illegal or legal.

As far as my knowledge goes, there are no regulations against bitcoin and its use in the country, so yes, it is accepted here. The thing is, there are only a few shops and merchants which fully integrates it in their payment system.  You can use some debit cards which can be loaded up with bitcoin and make your purchase if the store accepts Visa and Mastercard for payments (since debit cards such as Xapo use Visa for integration), but for direct bitcoin-to-goods purchase, there are only few shops (mostly coffee shops and tech stores) that can cater to such a service.

Here in America, some merchants do accept bitcoin but i think it is only in a few cities. It is still catching on for the general public. I think it will be more of an online payment method for a few years until more people get smartphones.
