It is okay, though not at speed of light, at the present rate it is good, those people complaining about slow transaction are those that doesn't know what they are doing, they need to input the right transaction fee for fast confirmation

Or maybe they know they can send it faster with an altcoin and not have to pay any extra rip off fees.  Wink

Test LTC or Doge if you like China controlled coins, you'll see what I am saying.
After using them , you will know BTC is a slow crap coin.

If you compare them with bitcoin they are faster because the volume of transaction is much smaller, but it's not the issue here, bitcoin is still fast compared to the payment processor that it can compete it's value.

In the crypto world it's clear that bitcoin is the most trusted as it is the most progressive.

I can't complain about transaction speed, so far never had any issues. But the speed is not the same all the time, depends on many factors.
Since I have Bitcoin debit card I'm usualy spending my coins on that way and thus avoid any delays when making payments. When transfering coins to wallets, usualy the transaction time is acceptable.

Today I had a BTC payment (received) that was termed "Very High" priority (blockchain.info) and with a $0.15 fee that took over two hours to confirm even though SEVEN blocks were found after receipt.

There certainly are hard-to-figure-out things in Bitcoinistan™ still out there.  "More wrinkles than you can shake a stick at"

You shouldn't take the priority levels attached to transactions by blockchain.info serious. It's just pure guessing that they do. I even had a transaction with just 0.00005BTC included, that was marked as high priority by them, but it took a day to get its first confirmation. Other times I send out transactions that get market as low priority, but they get confirmed instantly... It's up to the pools and not blockchain.info to give transactions priority. Blockchain.info is giving false indicators.

is it possible that bitcoin will be accepted in local stores, shops etc. since transactions are to slow and customers have to wait until their transactions are verified. And nobody wants to wait.
Can transactions be seeded up to save customers time or any other way to use bitcoin  at local stores.
one of seeded is customers don't need bring real money , i think bring real money enough difficult not so simple

Nope,

they are faster because of their Blockspeeds,
BTC BlockSpeed is 10 minutes
LTC BlockSpeed is 2.5 minutes.

Meaning LTC is 4X faster than BTC.
Cheaper to send too.  Wink

 Cool

FYI:
You Trust BTC, you are trusting China.
China controls BTC, LTC , & Doge, so your trust rating of each should be the same.

For me lately I am having blazing fast transactions. I started only recently using Electrum 2.7.12 (was using older versions before) and this new version has an option to put the fees to the max in the window where you are doing the transaction. I always choose MAX there and transactions have confirmations really fast.

If you mean Slow OR Fast like comparing to other payment options even so, I still think they are blazing fast and no other payment methods matches security of the bitcoin(unless user error, not bitcoin error).

I've been using Blockchain since the moment I have heard of Bitcoin. I am having some issues with the fees and secondary password but changing the fees manually can do the job very well. The thing is that the higher the fee is, the faster your money will be confirmed. For my cold wallets I chose 10k satoshis, which got confirmed in about 12 hours to one day.

The same as mine, I don't experience such as slow transactions when I am sending bitcoins. I'm only using blockchain and it makes faster because of their new transaction that including the transaction fee. And maybe that's the reason why we both not experiencing slow transaction, with your situation you are putting the max and with me, the fee is always deducted.

I choose the fastest because it does not matter anyway, as long as I can transact fast I would not mine paying extra fee if that is the case. I use blockchain and everything went smooth. I have never had a transaction that is "unconfirmed" for days. Bitcoin is the fastest for me.

I don't have any concrete idea where it really depends on sending a faster bitcoin. Some said that it relies on the transaction fees. Does it matter?
One more thing, I think it is a little bit slower if it use by other exchange aside from blockchain which is the foundation of btc.

Transactions are quite slow today, the mempool is up around 20k transactions still waiting to confirm so i would suggest anyone sending coins in the next few hours to add a larger than normal fee.

Or Use LTC or Doge , where an extra fee is not required.  Wink
Be there faster too.

Litecoin maybe but i am not going anywhere near Dogecoin, it's a dead dog <--pun intended
Why not monero or DASH?

Edit: This transaction was sent about 2 hours ago now, it was sent from an online wallet so i had no control over the small fee they added:

As long as the liquidity was there , any alt will do.
So Dash or Monero would work, I just don't normally use them.  Smiley

Monero has been up and down for the last 3 months or more but still a good stable alt in my opinion but doge come on, people have been dumping that crap for over 6 months now, it;s going nowhere but the pound to be put down.
The only people still holding doge up are the early adopters that just can't let the dream go  Cry

I agree on this, i recently transfer Bitcoin, i thought it will get 1 confirmation in 10 minutes because i setup a 20k satoshi transaction fee, but then after 10 min. it does not get a single confirmation. It took almost  1 hour before the first confirmation appear, and still at 1 confirmation at the time of this posting.  I wonder how can bitcoin be used in real life over the counter transaction with the confirmation speed like this.

I say Slow Wins the Argument Now:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1689151.msg16952006#msg16952006

What is the normal amount of bitcoins transactions in queue? Currently it is close to 30000 transactions.
I have a transaction waiting for over 16 hours now. It has a fee, so am I guarenteed that it will be confirmed?

view the queue length here
https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions

 Cool

FYI:
Average Block is holding between 1400 & 2600 transactions,
blockspeed of 10 minutes
