Personally I would like for bitcoin to become dominant as an online payment before we try to make the jump to buy things in physical store specially those that are very time sensitive like buying groceries in the supermarket where confirmation time will need to be super fast, a matter of seconds.

That will happen in the future if we keep supporting bitcoin, stores or big merchant will not adopt and open their store accepting bitcoin is they cannot see a good market to be profitable, and now since the adoption rate is going it's a good site for us to be positive and keep pushing to make that happen.

I agree. Sooner or later we can see stores accepts bitcoin as payment. As of now i read an article that there are few stores that accepts bitcoin as payment, they could buy burger and softdrinks using their own bitcoin. Well lets hope and keep supporting bitcoin. Nothing is impossible in the near future

For me bitcoin transaction is a bit quite fast than before. There  is a problem right now about bitcoin transactions and this will take a couple of weeks before it is solved. This trouble happened before.

The transaction problem is existing from a long time and actually the problem is the confirmation of transaction, as we receive the confirmation with delay, otherwise the transaction of bitcoin is very fast, I think this problem must be solved on priority basis. As we do face problems when we are going to pay for shopping in our local shops as we have to wait till the transaction to be included after that new blocks to be mined out.

you are right. bitcoin transaction does happen very quickly, but the duration of the transaction confirmation makes it to be quite long. perhaps, a system of transactions that need to be developed, so that the transaction and delivery confirmation can occur more quickly. Well, I do not know about bitcoin transaction system, but I think the system needs to be upgraded, because at this time, bitcoin users has grown rapidly

Usually when I play direct dice on directbet I feel that problem because I cannot wait like 10-20 mins or even 5 mins for confirmations and hence I have found a alternative. I change my bitcoins into dogecoins and then do betting, once done I then change back to bitcoins.

Well, although the bitcoin transaction to be slower than before, but I feel that this is still better than using other payment processor in the transaction. bitcoin does not require a long time to send BTC wallet to the other, that the problem is only on confirmation

Because no miner fee because my wallet that I used no miner fee if you send Bitcoin. What if I need my Bitcoin what if I need to cashout my Bitcoin. I hope in the next days I will experience Bitcoin transaction very fast. I think also why transaction is faster or slow because of the amount of bitcoin you send and recieve. If the high bitcoin it takes long to confirm while if the low bitcoin it takes 30minutes to 3hrs only.

I think most of us experience a slow transaction especially if we are active with online transaction, but honestly I understand what is happening and I was not upset with it. The fact that we can transact safe and enjoy the low transaction charge, it will erase the weakness of bitcoin.

Slow, for the most part and also if were gonna talk about real-time situations in a fast-paced environment, confirmation times for bitcoin isn't really that appealing, but bitcoin being transparent and secured might be its edge over other payment processors. ~10 minutes is a long time, however if it means lower fees/tx, I'd gladly take it any day.

What you are saying is true but transaction confirmation problem is temporary, as they are finding the solution for block size when it is clear then i dont think their will be any problem. Confirmation of transaction delay is due to heavy traffic of transactions

But what the guy said in the first quote makes sense. Will the restaurants, stores want to accept Bitcoins as payment method, even if it takes some time to complete transaction? I think people can feel a bit uncomfortable about it.

Maybe the Bitcoin technology can advance a bit more and find a way to make the transactions faster to be completed, what do you think? Would this be possible?

If you are spending bitcoins in a shop i don't think the shops owner is going to calculate the fee they want you to pay, they wouldn't have the time and if the customer says no they will send with a lower fee then the whole thing would be a waste of time.

Bitcoin is an online currency, if you want to spend btc in shops then in most cases the closest you will come is paying with a bitcoin debit card.

I agree with that. although sometimes people are concerned about the confirmation, but, when compared with other payment systems, bitcoin still have a faster speed. owned bitcoin transactions may still be faster and simpler than paypal or others. because of that, I agree that bitcoin transactions still have fast

this is a tough problem , as bitcoin itself vulnerable .
i mean people can make a double spend.if a merchant accept 0 confirmation to speed up the deal.
the bitcoin transaction actually can be done as fast ast lightning but the confirmation required is so slow as hell recently.

Right now if you add a nice fee you can get confirmation between 0 and 30 minutes I think if we can reduce that time to something like 0 to 5 minutes then we could make payments in places like restaurants were time may not be as tight like in other circumstances.
