I do believe without any doubt that luck is mandatory to win in gambling. I strongly believe all my winning and loosing are fully dependent of my luck. When my luck is at peak I win when someone with more good luck comes that wins, this is how I take gambling results.

yes i am also agree with you that luck is one of the primary reason for winning and loosing in gambling, although experience and skill can also be helpful in making success, but the luck is always the first option, to me luck do no need any skill or experience, but skill and experience always need luck.

The problem with that way of thinking is there is no way to tell when you will have good luck since its unpredictable that is why some people keep chasing their losses since they always think that luck will go their way this time.

Some people voted no because in the long run you cannot win so even if you get lucky once in a while or you have a good run eventually your luck will change and you will end up with nothing.

luck is necessary and it is like bread and butter of gambling but you can't deny the effect an strategy can have on your results. obviously there is no 100% winning strategy in the world but having a strategy is a lot better than not having one because it improves your winning results and that's the only thing that matters the most.

How sad the so many people believe it is about luck. Come on, there is not really such a thing as luck. It is just something you create to explain why you lose. Winning is obviously about nothing more than mathematical probability and the problem of losing is connected to attemts to overcome this probability and win.

But that is precisely what we call luck, we just use a short hand word in order to describe it can you imagine the amount of time wasted if we needed to accurately describe everything in order to be understood we will not be able to communicate ideas in a short period of time.

Luck is defying the odds. If you are on a good winning streak, one could call that luck.

It doesn't change the fact that every win or loss is subject to the same mathematical principles though. There is a fixed chance to win and lose, and no luck in the world will ever change that.

I disagree that is why we have “good luck” and “bad luck”, luck are just the odds or the probabilities of something happening “good luck” is winning more than probabilities will dictate and “bad luck” losing more than you should.

Yes, if we stick within some types of gambling alone, then there will not be any need of skill, just being lucky is more than enough to gain huge amount of profits from gambling. Still unlike skill, we will not develop or make ourselves ready to be extremely lucky all the time.

Correct, a winning strategy does not have to get you 100% winning chances as long as you are able to beat the house edge and give you and edge to yourself then you can eventually win this is exactly what card counting in blackjack does.

Good point you have there, as the longer we play the more we lose. It's the reality in gambling that we cannot debate since they have the edge. Even if you are playing in a gambling sites that has no house edge, we may still fall victim of our greediness so we must be careful with that.
