I am very interested in this prospect because it is very useful to be able to maintain a more stringent security again so we do not need to worry too much if you want to secure the various coin results from a project that was done earlier.

Despite the common expectation of failure of Dan Metcalf's projects, XC and Blocknet, clearly he didn't stop working on them. With blocknet producing some solid architecture, XC will surely benefit from that attention too.

Although XC reaching ATH in USD, with this level of pace from Dan, these prices would go much higher.

I bought at the end of last year and am happy to see it is on appreciation again. I have heard that it was once top best annon coin and that made me to put some aside for future. This is true slack is active and always there were discussion going on. People didn't pay attention but still this is cheap seeing what is coming out. Limited supply is going to make XC very valuable for sure.

The new chain will go active and the old one will still be active so that you can get your keys to adresses from the old chain to import in the new.

The new chain will be a copy of the old so you still have the same adress. If you have coins on Nova during the swap they will take care of it for you.

If you have having issues syncing your XC wallet check your wallet version.

If you are recieving error " Blockchain checkpoint too old contact dev. " then you need to update your wallet to the one above to sync.

XC had a upgrade last year that enabled increased blocksize and filetransfer so the old wallet wont sync.




The recommended way to do the export/import yourself when the new wallet is released is to follow these steps :

Backup :

Backup your wallet.dat before you doing anything (make several copies).
Unlock wallet from the UI (fully unlocked, not just for staking).
Use the debug console and type dumpwallet filename.txt (replace "filename.txt" with a name of your choice).
The file will be located in the directory you launched the wallet from.
Download New Wallet.


Import :

Launch New wallet.
In debug console importwallet filename.txt replace filename.txt with that you used with the dumpwallet command.
Verify addresses.
Via debug console type listreceivedbyaddress 0 true
