hello, here are some images http://d.pr/i/aaNvhttp://d.pr/i/H0Xohttp://d.pr/i/vPVPComments please I see it's confusing why it is USD denominated and not BTC if we put BTC value on cards, there wouldn't be any resellers willing to take risk selling those cards. Imagine you buy 10 cards each valued 1BTC, you would pay them $70 each... What is BTC goes down to $60 or even less and you are selling them for USD, you are loosing $10 as no one will pay you original price you paid because of BTC lower value.

Design looks nice, but the card value should be denominated in BTC, not dollars.

I notice these have dollar denominations on them. Does this mean that the cards are for gifting fiat currency as opposed to bitcoin, or is this more of a novelty? I would imagine that a gift card would have a private key and/QR code on the back for the amount of bitcoins noted on the front.

+1. Design is beautiful, but unless you're preparing a system where the cards are essentially prepaid cards to deposit money in an exchange, denominating in BTC is much easier for the end user. Whitelisted to post elsewhere. *hint - Project Dev / Marketplace / Bitcoin Discussion depending on what kind of thread you want to make*

it's not possible to have BTC on them due to resellers risk involved.

Now I'm totally loving your concept! So - does the card buyer pay a premium to buy the card ($105 to buy a $100 card), or do you take a cut when the user exchanges their code for bitcoins?

[/quote] In order for this to work everyone has to take a cut It's up to resellers for how much they will sell cards, my guess that this will vary 5-20%, smallest card will have highest fees due to processing fees etc. This is far from ideal when it comes to pricing and it can't compare to direct bank transfers. But again if you need 2BTC in 5-10min instead of waiting days and paying wire transfer fees this is good alternative. As always getting something fastest will cost you a bit more All we want it bring this closer to common people that want to learn more and use bitcoin and exchanges are too much hassle for them

My review on the experience using a gift code: I received the gift code via PM (unfortunately not via those neat-looking cards ) and proceeded to redeem it at https://www.giftcoins.me/ . The site is straightforward, clean and pretty much self-explanatory. I even ticked the 'I want to receive an email confirmation of this transaction' part just to see the receipt, and a sleek email came in with the details of my TX. Everything is indeed as speedy as OP promised, with the coins hitting the blockchain in less then a minute after the confirmation. THANK YOU AND ENJOY SPENDING Redeemed amount: $15 Bitcoin amount: 0.18138083 Wallet ID: 1NB1KFnFqnP3WSDZQrWV3pfmph5fWRyadz 22.03.2013. 18:03 That works out to about $82.6989 per BTC when the Bitstamp price was around $71.19, so the cut for the site should be around 15% if I'm not wrong. The site had a hiccup initially when I used it, but giftcoins assured me it's a problem with Bitstamp and proceeded to clear the problem up a few minutes later. I suspect that it's only due to the API permissions and it's an one off problem - so no worries there. In a nutshell, this is a quick way to buy BTC, especially in a hurry.

Awesome! I've wanted someone to create exactly this for quite some time now, not having the know-how or connections to do it myself.
I hope you can get these cards into drug/department stores on their gift card racks...! Any plans to do so?

I just pulled up your site from work... FYI, its very formatting unfriendly to IE7.
The hand graphic holding the card moves up to the top and covers the redeem box.
Also.. not everyone who gets a giftcoin card is gonna have a clue what bitcoins are.. a link to a "bitcoin for beginners" section should be prominantly displayed on the landing page.
Otherwise.. AWSOME service.

I didn't see an order link, are they available for purchase yet?

IE7 IE8 users, it's time to move on not really sure why would someone who doesn't know what bitcoins are buy such a card? What are chances for that happening?
