Hey Guys,

what would be your opinion if there would been Bitcoin shops in big cities like London, Berlin or Paris (also smaller cities).
So you could go inside the shop and buy or sell Bitcoin for a good price.

I think it would be an good (and an advantage) idea because more people would use Bitcoin so the price would rise up and the people who are owning Bitcoins at the moment would have more money in Bitcoins. Wink

Best regards,

Patrick Smiley
I don't think so, but any question for that. Where from you know if in the big cities like London, berlin, and paris having a much of bitcoin users in there? I don't think the unfamiliar people will be interested about that. because they not knowing about bitcoin.

I don't really see the difference between your idea, and a bitcoin ATM which are found already in big cities(London at least). The ATM gives you bitcoins in exchange for cash, the shop that owns the machine gets a fee on each transaction, and the company that sells the machine to the shop gets money on support fees etc. What's the difference between that and your shop?

why only big cities when it can be implemented in small to huge cities.  The more present bitcoinstore and atm is in local stores the more people will use it.  Actually this is the reason why growth of bitcoin isn't that fast.  The stores that accomodate and accept bitcoin payment in local market is missing.

I think this is a good idea because it exposes people to bitcoin that would otherwise not know about it. It also gives a different way to buy and sell. They could also sell bitcoin merchandise and things like mining computers.

So you want people to think, Bitcoin can only be exclusively used in special Bitcoin shops? No way, we want Bitcoin to be like that, it should be used in every other shop where other currencies

are welcomed. Yes, it will be a novelty to have shops where people can only buy with Bitcoin, but that would be against the laws of certain countries. Bitcoin should be free to use everywhere and in

all countries, not exclusively in certain specialty shops.  Wink

That would really be great both for Bitcoin users and for Bitcoin itself. It would certainly spread more and more and more people would use it. It wouod probably help the price go higher since the demand would be bigger and bigger trough time. It would also decrease the possibility of being scammed because we often buy from other individuals.

I think that a similar idea would be better, like where there a lot of people on large shop malls and make a big poster like 20% OFF for people that pay on bitcoin and next to it a BTC shop like yours Cheesy, by this more people will use bitcoin.

Nice idea but I don't think this service would offer the owner of the shop enough of a return in order to keep it going.  A bitcoin retail shop would be a good idea but then for the same reason I couldn't see it in place long term, not until we have a lot more people involved in bitcoin.

In the UK there is a shop CEX that sells computers, games, phones etc, and bitcoin is a form of payment that is accepted, to survive I think a shop has to have standard payment options along with bitcoin.

Its a good idea but I think even a better idea would be a full crypto exchange where people could also convert to other coins right there in person and put it straight
to a paper wallet. Also maybe a play where people could come in with their btc wallet info and convert it to a paper wallet for a fee.

I don't see how an owner would ever make enough money to make this sustainable.  I use localbitcoins to sell locally (so I can travel to my customers too, which a brick and mortar wouldn't be able to do), and I can make around 3 to 4k per month.  That would not be enough to pay rent and utilities, as well as other costs associated with owning a brick and mortar building.  Plus I charge 8% over spot which goes against your providing a good rate.  There just isn't enough demand in one location to make this a sustainable business model.

Like the previous poster stated you would need something else to make
the rent worth a while.

Trading / selling / buying cryto's is good but you would need to also be a
pawn shop or something else in order to justify the rental space. Something
that can't just be done online.

Plus may help profits being a pawn shop for bitcoin, you could buy things for
pennies on the dollar from people who don't need it anymore using bitcoin and
resell it for bitcoin or cash.

LBC sellers make that much per month? But how much time do you spend per day doing this business?
Does it interference with the hours you spend at a full time job? That is if you have one in the first place. Undecided

I am not sure if everyone does, but I have built a network of buyers over the years that are extremely faithful and come back daily to weekly.  It does not interfere with my full time job, but I also have a very flexible job as a tax accountant, but I mostly have people meet at my place of work and I can just run downstairs and meet with them quick.

It is a nice little extra income that is currently paying off student loans and will be really nice to have once those are done.

yeah it is a very good thing for the development of bitcoin. exchange that is in offline and physically will give interest to new users until she wants to join with bitcoin. and also the physical exchange will help the bitcoin users, especially in the city. I would be very happy if this offline exchange can exist in every city across the country? is it possible

Yeah, I'm sure the future will be a lot of business physical bitcoin exchanger like this. Because I think it is easier for us although I have not felt this service because bali away from my town Cheesy . But I am optimistic about the future of bitcoin will be better than today. thank you

not sure are you talking about buying products or only buying bitcoin. for buying products with bitcoin is an good idea  ,  if some shops allows bitcoin to buy product directly from wallet or bitcoin debit card is good thing for the bitcoin industry . i seen on this forum some threads mentions about bitcoin debit card and buying products on shop Smiley.
He is talking about bitcoin buy and sell with fiat currency.Like in London have a shop where you can buy or sell bitcoin with pounds similarly as in Shanghai you can buy or sell bitcoin with Yuan.I would be great if every big cities have a shop like this.people will be most encourage to use bitcoin.

I think it is the retail stores in malls thag he is talking about. It is happening in other big cities then why not with those. I think it will happen or is already happening. Have you tried to stop by there? If you can then you might see some. Please share.

sell bitcoin without going through the exchanger services, i think that's a good idea.
in Bali is already available, now u can buy and sell Bitcoin directly. yes i know bali it's not big city like paris and others.

Well the gold stores had sucess and opened several in several places, i believe with bitcoin being the buy and sell the only service you will need to profit, but sure would be great to go to a store and sell my bitcoins and get the cash in hands, i believe it may work is you dont have to rent a space.
yeah it is a very good thing for the development of bitcoin. exchange that is in offline and physically will give interest to new users until she wants to join with bitcoin. and also the physical exchange will help the bitcoin users, especially in the city. I would be very happy if this offline exchange can exist in every city across the country? is it possible
But, does not need to considering at first about the potentially for the BTC users in the environment of the area will begin a place to planting the business?

Nah.  Overhead would drive the price higher than any bitcoin atm you could think of.  It'd be nice to actually be able to buy stuff in a physical store for bitcoin.  That's a realistic goal.

If the original Backside walkaround can prove to me they are the old owner of this account, I can update the email address to the email address of their choosing.
Backside walkaround has lost access to their account as they used someone else's email address to sign up, and the owner of the email address got tired of random email notifications from this site after a few months and reset the password.
