All you need to do is find a place where there is a need for a shop that accepts Bitcoin, and if there is a big enough demand then chances are you are going to make money off of it. If you aren't able to find a way to break into that market or if there is no market at all, then forget about it. No point spending money in an environment that's a struggle to survive in.

If we imagine a large supermarket with a large turnover of money and the number of customers, then I was a little doubt that the pay for goods using Bitcoin will be easy. You will need to figure out a way that will facilitate this process.

Hey Guys,

what would be your opinion if there would been Bitcoin shops in big cities like London, Berlin or Paris (also smaller cities).
So you could go inside the shop and buy or sell Bitcoin for a good price.

I think it would be an good (and an advantage) idea because more people would use Bitcoin so the price would rise up and the people who are owning Bitcoins at the moment would have more money in Bitcoins. Wink

Best regards,

Patrick Smiley

Are you trying to say you want a shop where you can pay via Bitcoin. Or you want a shop that has Bitcoin, like a bank kind where you sell your Bitcoins. Anyways both the idea are welcome. A shop that accepts Bitcoin as payment why not. It will make shopping relatively easier. If you say you want to trade Bitcoin then you are referring to a exchange real life exchange I suppose even that's welcome.

Why do we need specialized Bitcoin shops? There are Bitcoin ATMs in most of the big cities. Even in my own city, there are 6-7 of them (although I have never used one). Still, it will be better if Bitcoin is accepted across the supermarkets and fast-food chains. I am sure that it will help the wide adoption in a very big way.
Yes it is right instead of having bitcoin shop for purchase and selling of bitcoin there should be usual supermarkets who accept bitcoin as currency for purchase of our daily goods. And if it happened in any corner of the world this will be a revolution in the financial markets of the world.
This whole idea is great but I can't agree on everything. I think in supermarkets it will be silly to add bitcoin payments, if the whole world will use bitcoin, than it's time to think but now we have simple currencies that are very enough. Bitcoin payments will be great for shopping, that's really great idea because if you travel in another country and don't have their currency, than simple solve will be bitcoin.

How long to wait for confirmation of the payment transaction after the supermarket. If even for a moment will be a delay, this type of payment very quickly lose the interest of the public.

Arnhem the capital of the province of Gelderland and one of the largest cities in the Netherlands. It is the world's first supermarket, in which you can pay Bitcoin. It is called "Spar Arnhem Central."

I have 2 opinions about this statement mate that there are will be a advantage until disadvantage.
First, if you really make shops in the big cities even until can make a super market that adopt and accept bitcoin, that's what the most of the bitcoin's user want. They will be more easy to use their bitcoin in reality without browse in online to seek goods and without should exchang their bitcoin in to fiat before can use that money.
Second, if the price of goods always fluctuating because it priced in bitcoin, how the shops will print the label price of each goods. Is the shops should provide a digital label price for each goods ? 😂 Huh So in my opinion this is must be twice thinking by someone.
I think the idea clear enough, the shops doesn't need to put the price of goods according to bitcoin price instead of following market price (price from producers/manufacturers + shops benefits) some kind like that.
I hope someday I will start my own shops which accept bitcoin payment of course, those business will affect bitcoin price to rise and more stable, include growing adoption.

These type of shops will strive in smaller cities not bigger ones because those bigger ones are more likely to have an atm that bitcoiner will use instead of relying on an individual to be on time for delivering them. Even in a brick and motar store is an inconvience if it is cross town in a larger city.
I will just go to a bitcoin atm while it's on my way to where I am going too.

I don't see how an owner would ever make enough money to make this sustainable.  I use localbitcoins to sell locally (so I can travel to my customers too, which a brick and mortar wouldn't be able to do), and I can make around 3 to 4k per month.  That would not be enough to pay rent and utilities, as well as other costs associated with owning a brick and mortar building.  Plus I charge 8% over spot which goes against your providing a good rate.  There just isn't enough demand in one location to make this a sustainable business model.
LBC sellers make that much per month? But how much time do you spend per day doing this business?
Does it interference with the hours you spend at a full time job? That is if you have one in the first place. Undecided

If you mean that you would have to go into a shop and hand over your fiat for btc, I don't think that is such a good idea. I don't know how it is in other countries but where I am I can simply just convert my btc to fiat in my wallet and then just pick up my money from a bank, pawnshop or even atm. I dunno, I'm really not that comfortable carrying around money with me.

If the "bitcoin shop" we'd get is a place that sells assortment of items like a regular mall but everything is payable only bitcoin, then that would be interesting. It would be nice if the initial shop have an adjacent cafe that accept both fiat and btc. Not sure how they would price the items though since btc exchange rates do have sharp spikes sometimes.

If there is such a shop it would be a great place to introduce people to btc. There can be a btc atm there where they can stuff in their fiats or maybe the guys over the counter can do it for them (in my country we can buy btc from 7-11s).

When that happens, it will be a big step for Bitcoin, and it will definitely catch the eye of the media. But I don't think that will happen soon. It is more likely that everything will occur more gradually, and first in small establishments. Then chances are great that something happens on a larger scale.

but there are already big stores in big cities who are accepting bitcoin for shopping, especially in Brazil there are dozens of shops who are accepting bitcoin for shopping and are providing good services to the bitcoin users. hope this trend will even introduce in small cities also. and one day we will also be able to use bitcoin for shopping in our local shops.

I think you don't imagine that special place for exchanging bitcoins, you call it as "shop", that place will ask for costs. Such as rent the place or build the place, personal and taxes to government. And I'm bony talking about such costs as water and electricity. I think the exchange course there will be much different than in online echangers that we use to.

When the world goes on bitcoin, the infrastructure itself will begin to break up with the tremendous pace. But I want to say that even now in the countries where the bitcoin is not very popular, some stores still accept bitcoin. It is commendable.

In our country, I still can't find stores that accept Bitcoin transactions. Just online shops. I know Bitcoin is not so popular in our place, but it's still yet to be known here. I hope they find how amazing it is and how smooth you make transactions with it. It's just like any other currency, but it's with your phone or something. How awesome is that? I hope that Bitcoin would be applied in rural places.

If you will establish a bitcoin shop in big cities then it will be a great help for our community because that can be a good way of promoting bitcoin by building a shop which accepts bitcoin. I'm also planning to establish my own business and accepts bitcoin as another option of payment so i can also help promoting bitcoin even though i'm not on the big city.

Yeah, indeed the way is the best place to promote the bitcoin to everyone who knew him recently. Because by creating a store based bitcoin (accept bitcoin), then all people will be curious to know the bitcoin, especially if we're giving more bonuses if making payment bitcoin. So, that's the best way, but we must also be careful to do business. For if we are wrong and wrong place for stores that we open so all you want will not materialize
