It would have been good to find shops accepting bitcoins, definitely I would just forget about carrying a fiat, but there is long way to go, we are just now seeing many online sites accepting bitcoins, so I think next will be shops and ATM's everywhere..

or im just dreaming Tongue
If the country does not intend to accept bitcoin, no one from the business is not able to independently and openly sold in its stores products for bitcoin, because they will need to make reports on their work used fiscal service. Therefore any more difficulties in this regard.
i think it is depending on the introduction of bitcoin that how is it introduced in your country. if people know about bitcoin in your country in a better way and they know the importance of bitcoin then they will certainly accept bitcoin and will never reject it. and i think in most of the big cities of the world people know about bitcoin and therefore i think it is good to open bitcoin shop in big shop.

It would definitely help the process of reducing-through-competition the ludicrous margins people (LocalBitcoins) and even some of the biggest institutions (looking at you Coinbase) charge for the privilege of onramping fiat currency into crypto, to say nothing of the benefits of increased adoption through familiarity (walk past the local bitcoin store twice a day, and eventually you're going to take a look inside and ask a few questions if nothing else).

not sure are you talking about buying products or only buying bitcoin. for buying products with bitcoin is an good idea  ,  if some shops allows bitcoin to buy product directly from wallet or bitcoin debit card is good thing for the bitcoin industry . i seen on this forum some threads mentions about bitcoin debit card and buying products on shop Smiley.
He is talking about bitcoin buy and sell with fiat currency.Like in London have a shop where you can buy or sell bitcoin with pounds similarly as in Shanghai you can buy or sell bitcoin with Yuan.I would be great if every big cities have a shop like this.people will be most encourage to use bitcoin.

Do these shops provide any other services? Buying/selling BTC only doesn't sound like a robust business model.

It would be perfect if all the 'money shops' (where you can exchange currency, cash cheques, sometimes buy/sell gold etc) started trading BTC. Seems like a natural choice. Could work well especially at the airports where there's potentially a lot of people with some foreign currency cash left-overs which they could use to buy small amounts of bitcoins out of curiosity.
I think it will be a good idea besides many people nowadays using bitcoin. We need to go with the flow of our society. Today many people have accounts of bitcoins. If bitcoins will legally accepted in shops in cities they will be able to use their coins for buying their needs without bringing some money to them. They only need internet and phones. And it will make them hassle free because of easy and fast transaction in paying the things you buy even in internet. Bitcoin has a high value so if some shops accept it, I think their profit will double and sometimes quadruple. This bitcoin idea is good to us so we must accept it and use it in a good way. Goodluck Guys! Smiley

BIG WINNER!

I would like to see a Bitcoin store and related stores build out, something like a Board Game Cafe with a Bitcoin theme and swag.
People can go to the store to play games and socialize and also order drinks and goods with Bitcoin.
Or perhaps a Board game cafe with products purchased from Bitcoin vendors kind of like an outlet store, with an additional catalog of verified Bitcoin vendors to choose from alongside the usual swag they can order from.

Bitcoin shops in big cities will surely a profitable business. Though the usage of bitcoin is less these days, when people starts adopting bitcoin in large scale the usage too increases. So if not profitable, the initiative made now will help with an assured bigger and better profit in the future.

Yeah i think that would be great for bitcoin and you wouldn't have to convert it to fiat currency that would save you a lot of time in liquidating your crypto to cash but only if there many people who uses bitcoin in those cities.
Well it's up to the people to decide if they prefer to use bitcoin as payment in stores also you can try to convince small business men to accept bitcoin in their shops instead of building one.

Hey Guys,

what would be your opinion if there would been Bitcoin shops in big cities like London, Berlin or Paris (also smaller cities).
So you could go inside the shop and buy or sell Bitcoin for a good price.

I think it would be an good (and an advantage) idea because more people would use Bitcoin so the price would rise up and the people who are owning Bitcoins at the moment would have more money in Bitcoins. Wink

Best regards,

Patrick Smiley

I think it would be a great idea. So you wouldn't have to seek for the most profitable ways to exchange it. And yes, the price certainly would rise. I think very soon it will be like that, as long as more and more people are getting to know about btc and only becoming convinced that it is very useful.

For what reason will these hipsters move from their usual cafe to your proposed cafe? Only reason I can think of is bitcoin got hyped up and they followed the social trend like they usually do. Once the trend of using bitcoins as payment goes down (like it normally would after a week or so), your proposed cafe will have less customers. If the cafe initially only accept bitcoins, it will be forced to accept fiat as well. Otherwise, it will have to close down due to slow number of customers.

There's not that much sociable bitcoiners since most of us are always at home in front of our computer screens.

Of course it's a great idea that can boost interest of people in Bitcoin especially the untold and draw them into the Bitcoin community thereby increasing the usage of bitcoins and rising of the prices.

this idea was very old but still its sounds good when we think of this. even thought we have got more than 200 bitcoin atms all over the world but still many countries are not able to access bitcoin directly or even that bitcoin atm. it will still take some time for the people to understand the cryptocurrency world, but soon whole the world be here

It would be somewhere between the hipster videos like Bitcoin Girl but instead of going to a cafe/restaurant they would go to a board cafe add it as a feature that accepts fiat as well but keep the themed products on the menu. Perhaps offer a 5% discount for using bitcoin over Visa and even cash as a promo.
The point is just a place people hang out could make it a VR Arcade if people wanted to sit in front of a screen ha-ha and I guess they would move if you did something with the style of building or a better game selection cafe price for gaming tables per hour could also do better grub.

I'm still not so much informed to draw any conclusions and suggests the possibility of using bitcoin in shops or cafes. The fact that the businessmen themselves, too, are not ready. It should be more accountable for their income in bitcoin, and bitcoin despite the fact that outside the law.

and accepted of bitcoin for the payment.

This is actually a good idea, having a big bitcoin shop in a big city is a job well done. You can buy some bitcoin from that shop as well as the items, you can use your bitcoin in buying these items. And also this enhance or advertise the uses of bitcoins in our everyday life. Not only inside the internet, but also, you can use them to buy some items or product in your own city or place. This is a good idea.

duration of transaction confirmation is still an obstacle for bitcoin I thought it was too hastily to make bitcoin stores in major countries, so will be a long wait at the time of payment

The delay in the transactions is a big hurdle right now to make this idea get through. Sometimes it take more than 48 hours for a transaction to get 1 confirmation. If it was instant as it used to be then Bitcoin shop idea would have been a great success in increasing the popularity of the the Bitcoin and also altcoins.

not sure are you talking about buying products or only buying bitcoin. for buying products with bitcoin is an good idea  ,  if some shops allows bitcoin to buy product directly from wallet or bitcoin debit card is good thing for the bitcoin industry . i seen on this forum some threads mentions about bitcoin debit card and buying products on shop Smiley.
Some of the main problems exprienced by bitcoin users is about "what they will do on their bitcoin". We all now that as of today bitcoin have so many limitation regarding to transaction. And if theres gonna be a shop that will accept bitcoin thats a good thing because no need to convert or to cash out money. Its more faster transaction than ever. One thing to make sure that its going to be legal . So that many buisness will be open to accept that kind of thing.

There are vendors that have Bitcoin BTM's inside their stores and accept Bitcoin but if a retailer wanted to deal with Bitcoin transactions it's not unheard of as it increases foot traffic to their store and the total sales that would otherwise go somewhere else. Just as an example one can look at Bitnational and see that there are convenience stores, cafes, pizza shops, and a major Coffee Chain that already have Bitcoin machines in them.

Regarding the risk it falls to the Bitcoin operators as they are the one's running the machine the chains only take a lease for the machine being in the store and it's not illegal to have lease contracts for the units.

Waves Coffee has a lot and they all take Bitcoin last I heard. Regarding the law it depends where you are as Alberta and Vancouver are the areas I am most familiar with but they are fairly clear on how to treat Bitcoin for taxes in Canada and the laws for the most part. The States is based on location.

With regards to pure Bitcoin businesses there are a few shops that sell miners/usb keys/ token physical Bitcoins and Bitcoins directly from their stores but the pure Bitcoin stores that I know of are few.

Most Bitcoin merchants involve accepting Bitcoin in their stores or providing a service and Bitcoin being an additional payment option. Bars in Japan, Sushi/BBQ restaurants etc. But there is also a trend of loading money onto a prepaid card with Bitcoin and using it like a normal visa/debit card for places that don't do direct Bitcoin product purchases Bit-X Coinsbank etc.

duration of transaction confirmation is still an obstacle for bitcoin I thought it was too hastily to make bitcoin stores in major countries, so will be a long wait at the time of payment
It will still be an obstacle to be used in a Queue because of what you just have said. But I have come up with alternatives that will work for Bitcoin. One is  having orders online and another one is advance order. With this two it is safe to say that it won't hinder any operation of the business while still continuing with its regular schedule. Unfortunately it does not solve Bitcoin's daily transaction if used in line.
