haha, you are suggesting him the worst exchange service of all times that has been available on the internet. and they don't even have credit card or bank transfer. and if you sell bitcoin for fiat to them in size of 2-3 BTC as OP, you will never see a dime from them and the support never answers either.

Why don't you use this forum? There are some traders here that trade for bitcoin and have a small fee for their work. You can choose the more reputable ones, but they might cost you more.
Yeah I was going to suggest this--we have a whole currency exchange section here that OP could avail himself of. Also, I use Circle with no problems whatsoever. If you're paranoid about anonymity, forget it, but they're reliable. OP be careful if you decide to sell them on the forum. Lots of scammers around, and don't take PayPal whatever you do.

if you think its difficult unloading coins in america then try doing it in the uk, Basically the only option you have to sell is local bitcoins which means if your wanting rid of a lot ie more than 1 you need to list it and wait until soomeone hopefully wants to buy whatever youve got. Ive not seen any exchange where you could just sell them and get money transfered straight into your bank.

Stupid suggestion, who wants anything to do with yobit? Op you have a lot of options in the US. Ebay is not a good choice, try localbitcoins again and use a reputable trader.

I wouldn't wanna sell on here. Ebay is suicidal. Atms will rape you, if you can find one.
If it were me I'd try gemini or itbit. Sure, you still have to kyc and stuff but they're run by pros. I guess it depends what state you're in.

I am in a position where I need to sell 3-4 BTC to handle some health issues.
It's impossible.
Coinbase is a fraud and I do not trust them with my bank information after they scammed me years ago.
Localbitcoins is not much better. I bought several BTC on there last year and early this year. Some idiot gave me the wrong name to send to, so I had to go back to Moneygram in person and change it for them. After I left negative feedback, he labeled ME a "scammer." I am on "forced holiday" now and have been for months, even though I've never attempted to do anything dishonest.
eBay is worse. Sold .5 on there - to some scamming idiot who sent me a fake Illinois driver's license scan - it had a woman with a Louisiana address and listed her at 6'4", 245lbs.
Local Craigslist ad. Waste of time. No replies.
How the hell do I get MONEY for these? It's worthless if you need cash fast. I've run an online business for over 10 years, have great eBay feedback, etc.
US resident, veteran.
Not a scam artist.
All exchanges have their own KYC and AML policies. Sending and ID and Utility bill shouldn't be a problem and it's only one time. Anyways, you can find a lot of reputable exchangers in Localbitcoin or even do it in person by using mycelium or localbitcoin again. Chances of someone scamming you in person are low since you can meet them in a public place and get cash for the BTC, then you could go to a bank and make a deposit asap. I would go for a in person trade to avoid all type of scams. No paperwork involved and anonymous. Good luck!

I'd recommend you to use LocalBitcoins once again. Your first experience might have gone bad, but it happens like once in a blue moon with localbitcoins.com. For me, I exchanged like 10+ times there and almost all of the experiences were pretty good and fast too (some were like instant exchanges).
Or else, get a card, such as from SpectroCoin.

It seems clear that it is still very difficult to easily dispose of our money when we decide to base our economy on digital currencies. And in these cases we still can see a great clash between the real and the virtual world. That is why I think the world is not sufficiently prepared to support this alternate economy, it isn't?.

I sure about that the local exchange is faster than a global exchange site because it's still in our region and no needed a various requirement for to do that, more than 20 times in there and it's very good experienced for me.

it doesn't need to be a nightmare. you can find a person near you and arrange a meeting to trade face to face with cash and also stay anonymous that way.
or you can use another exchange like cex.io i believe they also have credit card withdrawals.

maybe you get in wrong person so you have this experience, but if you are get in right person, then your experience should be different than before. have you tried to sell in btc-e? i heard that we can withdraw into our local bank, but i am not sure because i don't play on there. if you don't mind, go into btc-e and see what you can do in that site. or maybe, you can trying into perfect money and sell your bitcoin on there.

You could try paxful.com, there are many people there wiling to buy bitcoins for a range of payment methods as long as you make sure that you are trading with a trusted person you can get a great rate. Local bitcoins is similar to this.
I've also used Paxful with success, but you really need to wait until you find a seller with decent feedback, I also hear about a lot of people getting scammed on there, probably by people with very little feedback. Does Kraken accept US members? I've also used them in the past, no issues, but I'm from Europe myself.

Correct about the exchanges but there are some UK based brokerage services but I know very little about them. Perhaps Coinfloor could hook buyers and sellers up too. There's also Bittylicious. I've only bought on there but the whole process is very slick. And if you're prepared to string out your sells then Circle is amazing. I used that for the first time last week.

Coinbase is scammy, but in a pinch, they are very easy to use.
Why don't you use a US-facing exchange? Bitfinex or Bitstamp should work fine. I've also wired out of BTC-E many times over the years, although with the recent ETC fiasco, I can't recommend using them.

Both Bitfinex and Bitstamp bank in far off lands unless I'm much mistaken, even though they operate in USD. If you're a US resident in the right state you have much faster exchange options with proper regulation and insurance too.
