Is this the currency used in the Pokemon game? If not maybe ask Niantic if they have an cryptocurrency and if not if they are willing to imply this currency to the game.. Will not matter for them if they are just using a point system now.. much better with a cryptocurrency and a blockchain.. This way they and you could earn even more money on the hype!

the currency in pokemon GO app is not a crypto currency. it is just a simple in-game currency so it is not somehow related in this coin. the dev here just used the name pokecoin just because the name is currently hot and might get some good attention

So, should we consider POKE completely dead coin? Or someone saw any moves?

I've been monitoring this coin for a while - and there hasn't even been the slightest wobble or hint of demand. Looks pretty dead - but you can never say never in the crypto world...

I checked at Yobit. This coin still have some movements. 1 month in Dec.'16 , have demand around 3,500,000 coins. ( sell and buy volume ).
If we calculate it in BTC , it will be around 0.035 BTC. ( around 0.035 BTC x 930 USD/BTC = 32.55 USD ).
I'm not sure that who bought these coins and what is objective.

There must be a bigger scene to his programming thing that what I can see.
Why someone hasn't come through and maximized on all of these memes is just beyond me.

Is there really no one good enough to take on all of this?

There is a new thread please use that one to ask your question thank you. I must ask to have this thread locked actually.

Where is the other thread? My wallet won't connect.

That happens with some coins.  Backup all the files from the appdata folder, wallet.dat and blocks and such, put them somewhere else.  Keep the exe, the conf file and the three empty directories there.

Do not try to run the wallet as an admin, that seems to be where it gets stuck.  Run it once then move the backups into place, the wallet.dat and the block data, that is really important because this wallet does not get many nodes very often.

This works for most coins and not running them as admin cuts most of these issues out, although there have been some that simply never worked right on Windows, but I know that this coin does.  If you are running Window 10 and have a bad coin, run the Linux subsystem and use that for any coins that will never run on Windows.
