..

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

That is a very nice rig. Sorry if you already answered this question, but what is the power consumption like?

Hello Arvicco.
I just have made my registration here and I'm unable to send PM.
I have imminent interest in your FPGA and  I would like to discuss it more - avalaible quantity, payment method etc (I did already read your other-main auction thread).
Best option for communication would be probably email.

Thanks for your reply.

Based on your description, it sounds like you are located in California. Would you permit someone to view your inventory prior to purchase?

You are selling because of ASICs on the horizon?

Where the did the units come from originally? What condition are they in?

I'm curious how reprogrammable the FPGAs are in practice.  I'd be really interested in acquiring a used FPGA board if it were practical for me (as a software guy) to potentially convert them for other tasks (like password cracking) as a learning activity.

Did that rig generate .09btc all together?

You have skype or some way we can talk with a mic or maybe phone?

Interested in this but would like to talk in real time about a few things, other than that nice rig!

If you're looking for a software repurposing project, you might want to consider https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=159322.0

They are 100% reprogrammable. If you know (or plan to learn) Verilog or VHDL, you can teach them to do whatever you want. There are good books out there that help you get started, such as:
http://www.amazon.com/FPGA-Prototyping-VHDL-Examples-Spartan-3/dp/0470185317

Thanks.  I'm definitely going to try and get my hands on a used FPGA now.
