Yes that's true that trading is unpredictable  jobs,and you should always refer or monitor to the trading site's of when the time the value of bitcoin or altcoins would pump or dump or when to buy low prices and sell it high because every minute the value of crypto coins is volatile.there's no shortcut method to gain big profits on its,all you can do is to follow the basic fundamental analysis in terms of trading investment.

trading is predictable, my path is different from your opinion where I choose to study myself with countless losses, but there is one positive thing that my understanding is faster than it should be, I just take less than 1 month to understand crypto trade, for predictions and speculation can all be monitored through analytical methods and following premium signals within the business community. Indeed, trading is unpredictable because there are two things that might happened to you in just a day and it is, whether you lose it or not. You're correct mate because every successful trade must accept debt but the debt should not exceed the profit and in crypto currency trading loosing of money can be amend if only the trader can be patient and wait for the right when the coin will surge.

If you can earn that much and get fun while doing it why you do not consider to do that as a full time, 1K/months is a good amount of money in my country and if you can earn more than that by being serious about it then do it, you never know when bitcoin is going to skyrocket and make you rich.
