ETC to $100, when?

For me it would be some months after the Ethereum switch to PoS. People will start looking to ETC seriously, and the price, as well as the hashrate, will severely increase. My guess is March 2018.

Today I saw price of ETC is 2 mbtc, little more, and on poloniex it have good trading volume, and I was thinking is it etc good coin for investing? Now I'm looking what I'd new here and I see this topic, if your guess is accurate March 2018 is not so far, that means that etc is good coin for investing now while it's not expensive. I will think about this more seriously.

Well i think it is not but in time it will reach $100 we just need to waut for it to happen .if you have some money you can spend on it while its cheap no ones knows what will happen .But i dont think it is good as ETH because it is only created on Fork.

Maybe by the time BTC reaches $1000 ? Jokes apart.There is a long way to go.As for now,there is no active participation from devs to take it whole another level.

as the guys mentioned above theres  really a time for that  and we wont  know when  it would reach that  price amount  and for sure it would really need  adoption  or users  in able to rise  that  on that amount  but  ETH would  x400  on that time.

I love to comment on year old posts about price and conditions of bitcoin/altcoins. It shows that even the worst news (in this case an emergency fork after the DAO fail)
can be forgotten and life will go on. ETH not only didn't die but it is currently sitting pretty on ATH throne.

This topic is about price of ETC, and frankly I don't think this strain will be that much successful in the future. Sure it will survive, forever in shadow of ETH.

It will see $100 when Ethereum will reach at $800-$900. ETC will work in similar way as Litecoin was doing under Bitcoin and still the ratio is being kept even after so long time. My understanding tells me same case will be in these two markets. It is possible to see $100 but in future when Eth will go mainstream.

Considering that coins like Ripple have reached the second position, I would say that a great surge in price is possible for ETC, but I think this will only be possible if the currency goes up in value before the altcoin bubble pops.

I also think $25 is around the right mark for ETC, I'm not saying that it won't reach $50 but short term I can see $25 and mid to long term $50 - $100 There is a lot of new money coming into the markets now so anything is possible, just look at all the old coins with large coin supplies pumping. It's Crazy right now!

If ETC was really going to 25 USD then it would have done so by now.  It's really getting frustrating because I bet heavy on this and I expected this to follow ETH and be around 30 USD by now.  It turned out to be one of the worst performers of this bull run.  I should have bet heavy on NEM which was one of my first choices.

the price move that happened was a very giant pump even a move of 1 dollar is a big afford by this big amount of coins

EHT has such a high price at the moment that I have my serious doubts ETC will ever be able to reach that price in my opinion ETC will always live in the shadow of ETH but the new are not so bad since Litecoin has live under the shadow of Bitcoin and look at it, it has become a successful coin in its own right so it is not like ETC could not do the same if the development continues.

I dont think it can reach to 100 USD this year because of marketcap but to reach around 50 USD is possible.
