so far ETC has risen from approximately 0.0007BTC to 0.0047BTC (+570%)
don't get me wrong i hate both of them an i say they both are going to fail soon but this rise doesn't seem like fail like you claim it to be. and it doesn't seem to be stopping here either.

so as a trader who is mostly interested in BTC i will always choose ETC over ETH only for the time being

Hmf? honestly I do not have knowledge about ETH or ETC either. I was only fun of bitcoins(sorry to say), I was confused why some person is talking positive about ETH and the last Hard Fork was a successful one then I am also reading some post that it is a shit coin. And why there cant be parity ? Check social networks, every project there is / that is developing is chosing ethereum for obvious reasons. Abandoned chain can only beat ETH if ethereum foundation will developed for it instead ethereum, which we all know it wont happen, not even if whales pump 500$ million in etc and increase its price higher than ethereum. Because the foundation knows it's a pump from bitcoin side to steal ethereum's investors money and they wont be accomplice.

And it's real. ETC doesn't have neither currency potential for many reasons, one would be difficulty bomb and the fact that it's still in beta. And it doesnt have dapp / contract potential since, for the same reason, it's still beta and it doesnt have developers. And even if it had, they would need months if not years to fully understand ethereum as good as ethereum foundation / buterin does, since he/they are it's creators/inventors. And assuming an elite team of programmers /developers join ETC, they simply dont have time. In less than 6 months they have to implement POS, so there's no time. And if they decide to hardfork and continue POW as a currency / payment system, it wont be any better than the existing ones ,maybe only better than old ones like BTC, because it wasn't designed with featues that would boost it's price if it were a currency only. So you see the problem now ?
As a currency only / payment system it would be on the same level at best if not behind shitcoins like monero or dash.

Rebought at a huge dump on 0.0021 again a few hours after the bitfinex hack.

First, that's not a proof he works on ETC just because he made a parity client or w/e he made. As ive heard he was paid to do that, so he did, but where's the proof he left eth team to join "etc" ?
It's not about profitability dumbass, i know it's profitable for speculation, these idiots just claim ETC can overtake ETH as a development / dapp / contract platform, a failed attempt to fud ETH.
