If you went to tweetforum you wouldn't look like such a fool for calling it spam..

LOL - only had to read three posts before I crossed this site off my list.
Please make sure you are checking all the dates in this thread properly. They were made over a month ago. I am sorry but the guy is wrong for making that inflammatory post towards a site that isn’t even remotely close to a "spam". Maybe I should have made a new topic to introduce this program, but then again I have nothing to hide from this community. Hope you do stop by and try it out for yourself, you will see that I am not as bad as some people may think. And I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the quality of TF!

Thank You

2 Questions - what is "Web2.0 compatible" actually mean, and why should we buy ads since it looks like no one else has?

edit: I tried signing up and you lied - there is no way for me to customize the news/feeds I want. This is not web2.0 compatible
It means that tweet forum will connect to every web 2.0 site on the internet. Mainly twitter. Here is our twitter cloud, follow these accounts if you want to get the latest updates pertaining to each subject.

http://twitter.com/flippro - My personal twitter account.
http://twitter.com/tweetsforum - TweetForum's main account-Syndicates all posts
http://twitter.com/tweetforummusic - Tweets new music
http://twitter.com/tweetnewsforum - Tweets breaking news from our forum
http://twitter.com/tweetforumufo - Tweets breaking U.F.O news and discussion
http://twitter.com/tweetforumvideo - Tweets the newest web-videos/movies/and episodes
http://twitter.com/tweetforumsport - Tweets the latest in sports news
http://twitter.com/tweetforument - Tweets the latest entertainment news
http://twitter.com/tweetsalemarket - Tweets the marketplace
http://twitter.com/bitcoinforum - Tweets about ##Bitcoin investments
http://twitter.com/forumstocks -Tweets breaking stockmarket news and discussion.
http://twitter.com/tweetforumforex -Tweets Forex exchange news.
http://twitter.com/estateupdates - Tweets Realestate and property listings
http://twitter.com/learntwtforum - The latest twitter news
http://twitter.com/tweetforumbiz- Tweets new businesses and ideas for entrepreneurs.
http://twitter.com/marketingforum7 - Tweets marketing news and discussions
http://twitter.com/bloggForum - Tweets fresh blogging jobs for extra cash $
http://twitter.com/tweetforumwah -Tweets real Work at Home jobs that pay.
http://twitter.com/tweetforumweb - Tweets web developer news

Whoa wait, there's more Web2.0 sites than twitter? Which are the other ones? Does 4chan count?
If you make a twitter account you will be able to customize only feeds that you want. Remember each reply will be syndicated so be careful which boards you choose to follow.

So wait how is this different from any other news source that uses Twitter? Why do I need to have a forums account if I already have a twitter?

Nevermind, this is too confusing for me and there are no instructions. Maybe I'll try again in 6-8 months to give you time to work out the bugs

The difference is that if you make a post through Yahoo it will not get syndicated to their Twitter cloud. If you make a post at tweet forum it will...

Ohh, I see it.

I meant I'd like to add more RSS feeds from off-site TO the site, like BBC and Yahoo News

I had that before but the problem was they were interlacing too much of the same stories. In the future for TweetForum 2.0 we will have multiple different sources, and all will be perfectly blended to meet our standards. However if you look closely 99% of the articles in the Breaking News section, are Yahoo news articles, and Yahoo news articles automatically take content from all kinds of Publishers and News Organizations.

So third party news feeds would be a better idea? If so there's a lot of feeds from web2.0 sites I've always wanted fed to my twitter, like:

We can setup user set rss feeds for each site but that won't come till tweetforum 2.0 . There are simply to many limitations on SMF, which is why we are moving towards our own custom built platform. For now I can make some reddit sections that are close to what you like, and I will make them into tweetboards.

Oh, don't worry about it. I was looking for a summer project lately anyways and think I'm just gonna create my own knock-off version of your page, only for medium-traffic tech and gadget sites instead of UFO and Car sites, since I'm not really that into them. I have 2 spare VPSs and and extra dedicated that are running unused right now but are paid at least through next March, so I don't think the project will cost me anything but time + a cheap domain in case I decide to give it up this winter. I also have a spare vBulletin license and wrote half a twitter client before so this shouldn't be too hard.

If I'm short on content though, can I scrape some info off of your forums? Some of your feeds are pretty good, so if you don't mind I'll just write a Perl script to grab them off the SMF forums.

I've set up a placeholder for the site at http://lljk.info already, so people know the project is coming.

I think people need to stop treating new ideas with such hostility. There are enough douchebags being hostile towards bitcoin already without us adding to the perception.

As someone who has to wade through the crap that is google news to post relevent bitcoin stories each day on twitter I appreciate someone attempting to curate the flow for us. The more places that spread the news the better imo. When I started bitcoinmedia on twitter there was basically no one posting bitcoin news and the sources of it were limited.

My suggestion - ignore  the haters and concentrate on sending out a positive vibe to counteract the bad karma out there.

PAID TO POST = PAID TO SPAM.

That's dumb logic right there!

A journalist gets payed to post news... Is that spam? Wtf!

It's only people who contribute who gets payed, not the other way around.

My product is going to be a polished, Web2.0-compliant website that will use my best-in-class skills to leverage the synergies between the leading social networking sites, and push the envelope in the up-and-coming twitter/forum hybrid field.

The fact that I can think outside the box to deliver world-class solutions allows me to create superior products with my software expertise.

Yours is just SMF combined with a re-tweeting program off your $7 VPS. I already have dedicated servers and software licenses needed to outclass you with little work on my part, save for polish (where tweetforum really lacks).

I hearby challenge you, Vegetta, to an internet-off!

No part of his post indicates that there would or could be any trolling on his forums, personally I think his idea is really innovative - it's very meta.

You own a forum built specifically for trolls to come in and troll each other? LOL

No part of his post indicates that there would or could be any trolling on his forums, personally I think his idea is really innovative - it's very meta.
Judging by how much time you have spent on my posts you could have already made .25 BTC at Tweet Forum. Waste your time doing something productive, something to help this community, something to push us in a better direction than where we are at now, instead of wasting your time trolling other people’s posts across multiple different websites. Honestly bud, it just makes you look silly. Come up with something original that will help the Bitcoin community prosper, and even I’ll support it. But then again if you were a serious person you wouldn’t even be wasting your time here would you ?  Roll Eyes
