That seems pretty shitty to fuck people for double the value of the card, buy 2 6970s for 1/2 the costs and get same mhash
so people wait until they become available and let this crook keep his video  card made of gold.
I can do 6970s 10 at a time for $360-$379 each depending on brand.

Its one thing to try and make a quick buck, its another to gouge.  Doubling the retail price on a 6990 is beyond ridiculous, considering there are other alternatives for a lot cheaper.

And with that attitude, little alone the price, I doubt you'll get anyone to jump on this.

Oh and just doing a quick search:

At the time of this post is in stock for $800

I really don't understand why people say 5830 are out of stock ... maybe if you're only looking at online store.  Grab the Yellow Pages (maybe yp.com; didn't try it), call around at the stores under "Computers". Bam! I picked up 10 cards today from 3 different places.

If someone buys a container load of these and wants to sell then resell in packs of 10 at a discount I'd be interested, otherwise I'll stick to pricewatch showing which established place has them at a good deal. I mean even newegg ad Tigerdirect has 6970s for 340.

6990's are only out of stock because AMD underestimated the demand. It was the same thing with the 5970's when those were released. They sold out quick but then AMD got back on track and manufactured more than there was demand for. There will be another massive shipment coming to retailers around this time next month. Plenty will be available folks, no need to rush in paying double retail price for one now.
