Yes Geocoin already has this feature but it's not about pokemon, I read a lot of bad things about pokemon how you could endanger yourself and others chasing pokemon and this would be coin could do the same to it;s players..

we had shakezula's geocoin, and then another i think, but I fear without the free advertising platform (TV) of these big corps, the idea wouldn't get far, now you're competing with likes of Google(Niatic)/Nintendo etc.. shady.

I do wish we have a chain containing torrents infos, updated trackers etc in the chain, why haven't we? This must be doable no?

That's actually a good idea. But some problems have to be fixed first. There are some ways (using jailbreak for instance) to cheat playing Pokemon Go. For example, you could lead the software to believe in a particular position by manipulating the GPS-data on your phone using a special app.

Craazy, I didn't know that, but i figured you could probably cheat by now, in any case I don't know how it would work but if a dev team out there could make a functioning Easter egg hunt out of a coin, I maintain it would be very sucessful indeed.

I don't think it has to have anythign to do with Pokemon Go necessarily just the concept of using a GPS ap on your phone to find hidden coins.Maybe the running aps could be the thing that contributes to people mining the coin or something. Is that nonsense what I just said? I have no idea, again I'm just an ideaman

When you say leave a physical coin, do you mean like an actual physical coin or a digital coin left in a physical location? because if the ap was to find physical things it would be more difficult to hack but much more expensive

Nono I meant a physical location and digital coin although and actual physical Easter egg hunt that functioned with bitcoin would be super cool too, any Idea on how to make that happen?

There are physical bitcoins but if the Ap worked this way some one would also have to go around leaving very expensive physical bitcoins in places, the logistics of which would be hilarious. Also can you imagine what would happen if someone left a bunch of money in a physical bitcoin buried in a public place and sent the masses looking for it lol

I believe there is a law against this in most states in the US, it refers to the mass panic caused when money is dumped loosely off buildings and causes hysteria. you wouldn't be allowed to have people treasure hunting actual currency.
