It can work until all money is spend.
After that country collapse and long time of recovery is needed.
Perfect example right now is Venezuela.
Country so rich with oil but economy collapsed and people don't have even enough food to eat.

Socialism in some form has to do with everything that people do. Probably the greatest urge in life is for a man and a woman to get together and have children. This is a form of socialism. Then, families get together to do great projects, or to protect each other from natural disaster, or to protect each other from warring forms of socialism in other socialistic groups.

Communism is simply a form of socialism. Democracy is another form. Capitalism is another. The religions are others.

It inevitably leads to corruption of the government by money... inevitable...

Capitalism leads to an Oligarchy... like America... where corporations write the laws, then bribe congress to pass the laws (Obamacare, TPP, etc)...

The Federal Reserve has never been audited, so we have no idea how much money they spend without telling us...

The Pentagon was audited for the first time ever... the audit showed they lied about $TRILLIONS... spending money without receipts... Over $8.5 Trillion in 2015 alone! (their budget is $600 Million)

The military spent more than 14x their budget (more than double the entire US budget... $3.25Trillion collected in taxes in 2015)!  Without receipts to show it is a legitimate expense! And we aren't even at war with anyone?!?

This is what causes hyperinflation... when your government spends more than they collected in taxes... (spending money you don't have lowers its value)

Any regime can turn into a dictatorship (most already have)... that has nothing to do with the style of government or economic policies, and everything to do with "power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely"

You cannot have any form of government without people in charge... those people always end up corrupted... faster in a Capitalism environment than a Socialist one...

I'll even give an example... USA (capitalist) vs Iceland (socialist)...

The bankers in both countries destroyed the economy... in USA, we gave the bankers a get out of jail free card and $50,000,000,000 bailout...
