Capitalism worked in the past and works now. Socialism has never worked in the past and does not now. Crapitalism has never worked in the past and does not now(USA).

I liked what Gingrich said about unemployment benefits-the reciever should be doing some "training" or along those lines while receiving those benefits, so they don't just milk it up like my cousin does. I think also everyone should be able to opt out of welfare such as Social Security. No harm to that.

As far as the corruption of politicians by wealkthy-dont allow them to receive money in any way through lobbying. Im not just talkin about corporations-the unions are what i fear the most. They have damned my state California to hell. Our education went from first to 48th years ago.

The fair share tax wont change a damn thing as much as some would like it do. As soon as the tax gets high in the wealthies minds. They will hide the money. Only at normal levels will they actually pay it which is why they pay a lower percentage of their income. They still pay for the 50% of the US population that don't. Estonia has a flat tax and they are rising.

Taxes are the least of my worries, spending is the most.

Depressions are all under the feds watch and he says he got somtin to fix it. Yet we didn't get out of the depression until our soldiers came back. We haven't gotten out of the recession with the increased spending under bush and obama. Wasting money doesn't seem to be in the minds of both republicans and democrats.

In spite of what you may think of the Canadian government funded programs, such as Free healthcare, Public Schools, Public Fire Safety, Public Police, Public works, Free Festivals for all Canada's citizens and Government controlled Banking , Canada did not turn into Russia or any of the failed countries you are mentioning therefor everything you just said was completely false. Canada's unemployment is no sky high because it has government funded programs that help find people jobs. Get it?

You make it sound like:

A) you don't pay taxes already
B) The thigns you pay taxes for would be free other wise (which they would not)
C) Socialism would take away from your democracy (which it would not)
D) That super packs don't already control your current government with an iron fist, your worried big corporations will work together to control the vote over where your communal money would go if America was hypothetically more socialist. Accept currently you have no communal money or programs and those greedy corporations charge you amounts you cant afford for services you need. Instead they would be fighting for a bigger piece of a pie that's already put their to pay them for services you are guaranteed , only an idiot would fight against his own best interests

It can be applied to a developed country where it could sustain the needs of its people with all benefits for free.  And a country where corruption is very minimal.  

It would be a good thing if all companies or high earning establishments will be operated by the government to finance the needs of its people.  But of course this would not take effect as some leaders and officials were corrupt.

Like its great they finally elected a black president with Obama but it should have happened in the 70's with Martin Luther King.
