Could someone make a tutorial how to back up a wallet in case of hardware failure or some other reason?

What is needed to recreate a wallet on another device? Will public key + private key be enough?
Which files to download to a usb and what keys/passwords to write on paper?

imho you need only private key/keys (must be exported in the encrypted state and stored somewhere → don't forget the encryption pass).

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

u'r welcome.

u can check this advice very simply: just export the private key → install wallet on the another pc & import the key into wallet → if it works as should → advice was right. ☺

the nano shit pool keep attacking, time not update, all miners leave the shit pool

We are not attacking. We are still waiting the source code of the fixed Pascal coin from the dev. And we are trying to fix it manually.

couldn't agree more. all delayed blocks with future timestamps are coming from the nanopool nodes.

Nanopool should be considered hostile at this point. (1. stealing hashrates, 2. DDoSing Suprnova and then 3. the time-attacks) I think it makes sense for every miner to abandon them.

PascalCoin Build 1.4.3

Hi PascalCoin users

New build 1.4.3 is ready.

It has some minor changes, also prevents "old time" mining.
Windows installer includes OpenCL miner

Source code is at GitHub:
https://github.com/PascalCoin/PascalCoin

Binaries, Windows installer, blockchain... at SourceForge:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/pascalcoin/files

Good work !
Maybe good idea to store cached nodes in a dat file ?
Should speed up initial connect.

1) We made the same code change, the latest release has, 3 hours ago already. Developer has written in email what did he do in the code.
2) Our servers properly synchronised and our block time is correct.
3) We don't make any DDOS attacks, but we DO have a DDOS protection.
4) "stealing hashrates" is an absurd thing, as you can not have the same effective hashrate on the pool side, as your miner shows. You lose some time to achieve work and to send it, have some % of invalid shares, miners pause mining on job changing (good ones do it quick, but still has a break).
The better miner works, the better connection is the closer your pool stats to the miner reports.

5) The REAL attack was shifting all the pool blocks timestamps to 30 seconds in the future, making it impossible for our pool to mine any blocks in next 30 second after Suprnova finds a block until we've applied the fix.

There seems to be an attack going on ... I was ddosed and while I was ddosed I noticed blocks with "high" timestamps which subsequently reject my blocks with the correct time:

02-02-2017 10:27:10.151 TID:E5496700 [Error] <TJSONRPCTcpIpClient> Sending Error JSON RPC id () : Error: Invalid timestamp (New timestamp:1486027668 last timestamp (58999):1486027790) payload:SUPRNOVAROXXXXXXXXXXXXHXpLc/------ timestamp:1486027668 nonce:1303498590

I'm investigating what is actually going on exactly...

Frontend will be fine in a few moments, the DDoS ended.

OK, there are several nodes sending valid blocks with higher timestamps:

02-02-2017 10:45:18.259 TID:F0977700 [Error] <TNetServerClient> Disconecting 89.249.254.45:50962 > Invalid remote timestamp. Difference:227 > 180

Thus making my blocks "invalid" through to too "old" time even though my clock is correct:

02-02-2017 10:44:59.041 TID:F0977700 [Error] <TPCOperationsComp> Invalid new block 59002: Invalid timestamp (New timestamp:1486028696 last timestamp (59001):1486028710)
02-02-2017 10:44:59.041 TID:F0977700 [Error] <TJSONRPCTcpIpClient> Sending Error JSON RPC id () : Error: Invalid timestamp (New timestamp:1486028696 last timestamp (59001):1486028710) payload:SUPRNOVAROXXXXXXXXXXXXRkmq4------- timestamp:1486028696 nonce:3038414114

What those guys exploit is an old bug which was fixed in bitcoin years ago. They send their blocks with a maximum "drift" ahead ..

Example:
It's now 11:30:00  and blockchain is at height 59000
Max Drift is 30 seconds

So they say they solved Block 59001 at 11:30:30 even though it's just 11:30:00 and now my pool finds the next block as 11:30:20 which is BEFORE 11:30:30 so the blockchain rejects the block and says "Nope, your clock is wrong (even though my clock is right!) and I reject your block because the block before was discovered later"...

We need the dev here to fix that..

If block arrived with 30 secs in the future timestamp, Current block age will display 'negative seconds ago' on the daemon. Any node that will find nonce below of that 30 secs will be rejected but if that rouge node/or nodes sync to it finds the nonce he/them alone can be accepted. Only them can find the nonce for that timeframe. Clever but not playing fair.  A lot of blocks arrived with negative block age, some arrived as far as 2 minutes. Small miners are just wasting electricity if mining solo with this kind of deception.

Announcing bounty for a GPU Pool miner dev:

Donations to Account 2-34
If you want, include your alias as a "Public payload"

Distribution:
- 20% will be for Vorksholk due it created first GPU miner and made it open source (and we need to congrats him for his previous job, of course)
- 80% will be for GPU pool miner dev who creates an Open source GPU miner for pool mining.
Bounty will be sent when at least one well known pool accepts PASC to mine and source code published on GitHub
(If the pool wants to receive a bounty, the miner dev will need to give some of it's 80% part... negotiation miner dev vs pool dev is part of this bounty)

20% reward for Vorksholk has been sent.

Except that the actual hashrate on the two pools differed using the same mining software and same hardware.

That's a problem thats been reported by more than one person in this thread.

Everyone's hashrate was higher on Suprnova. No one reported a higher hashrate on Nanopool.

All our test rigs show the correct 6hr average hashrate with sgminer. Probably those people were using the old miner.

PascalCoin already lived his life and gave money to many, including poloniex Exchange, about the rest, who did not buy it, I can say with confidence that you would not have bought this coin

I really don't get the point of people like you saying that kind of sh***t. Do you think a coin will be perfect from the very first moment of it launch? Now it's time to improve and go on. If it will be a good or bad coin, the time will tell. By now it has done exactly what is supposed to do. All the coins have the same behavior when they are launched: they raise and they fall. Did you check the Monero history? what about ETH and ETC?

From this moment on, Pascal has a lot of work to be done and IMO it has a lot of potential.I am not an expert but I have done some research. Will it  give the same amount of money to the miners? of course not, but it will add some new concepts to the cryptocurrencies ecosystem: the account system is one of the best and, when it is improved, sending pascal between accounts will be very easy, more than with BTC, ETH, ETC, and whichever other crypto out there.

Of course the coin has some flaws but like ALL the coins it can be improved. If u want to make a wise decision, buy now, cause you will regret you didn't in some months. Oh, and yes, Poloniex made a lot of money, as it is doing it with BTC, and ETH, and ETC, and ALL the coins listen in the market. I think you have not realized something: the business here is not mining, is not trading, and is not even building your own coin, that's bullshit, the real good money is in having an exchange. They took their part of the cake, and as all in this digital world the coin will rise again, in less than 4 months. It needs to mature.

You don't like it, ok, but the time has not passed to make profits with this coin.

Have a great day man. Happy trading.

LOL the mining inflation is really low, still lots of potential left.  Most of the coins are on poloniex.com, but not of the sell order book.  Either someone big is holding for some reason, or who knows.

LOl you do not understand the problem. If the blockchain is as vulnerable as this, expect no adoption whatsoever. The vulnerability is being taken advantage of. Fix it first.
