I would say you will not benefit from it, but if you do not believe, you can try with a small capital and a free domain. I think you would be hard to make money from advertising, will not be a lot of visitors from the faucet. also some users will use a bot to drain your faucet balance.

Hello, every bitcoin trader/seniors here.

I have a mind that wish to do small investment for bitcoin platform (no ponzi scheme/HYIP) suddenly. The bitcoin faucet platform is the first idea that pop up in my mind. Can anyone can tell me about the advantages or disadvantages for operated this bitcoin faucet platform? Feel free to share your idea.

Thank you.
An advantage of owning a faucet is that you get to have some passive income and not have to actively be involved with the website in order to make money, but a disadvantage of owning and running a faucet site is that you have to find a way to make sure that you're actually earning money from the advertisements you put up, and that the advertisements are able to equal whatever your expenditures are on the Bitcoin for the faucet. While it is possible, it is relatively difficult imo.

you can get money with advertising, popads, adsense, popounder  and more

google adsense is the highest paying ads, but unfortunately, google adsense has been banned faucet sites.
and why google adsense banned faucet sites? because most sites faucet that there is not a lot of information that is considered to be useful for the user, besides only used to offer a number of free Bitcoin only. I also see some sites faucets already large, they are now bankrupt, because it no longer getting greater results than expenditure of funds. so I think you will not get any benefit from the faucet site.

You need a LOT of traffic these days to make money running a faucet.
Cryptohydrant was one of the best, most well designed faucets I've ever seen, and they were losing money and shut down. (Just a couple weeks ago)
Unless you are getting tens of thousands of hits a day, and display a ton of ads, you aren't going to make money.

There was a post where a faucet operator showed how most of his sites were actually losing hundreds of dollars a month.
I will see if I can dig it up and post a link.

The advantage of it is that you will earn to them by visiting your site also the ads you will add on that website will be paid also .but at first i think you will buy the web or domain of the site for you to operate your faucet .i have a friend he did that one but the faucet is not click or trend on the market so he just stop that site.and lost some money.

There are some, and the number one I think is that you'll be able to help other people on procuring their first bitcoin--or letting them feel what it's like to receive and spend bitcoins. As for personal gains, you can probably earn a passive income via advertisements or captcha solves on your faucet. It may not be that much, but still it's some pretty good bitcoins to have passively; just load your faucet with a couple million satoshi and you are probably fine.

Honestly in managing a faucet it takes a long time before you can make a profit and make a large number of visitors.. unless if you are bought  already expired domains that alrady have many backlinks and SEO already.. that you can get even 1k visitors daily..
Also only google ads are paying high if you dont have google adsense in your faucet.. its useless you can not make anyprofit.

Like others said it is very difficulat to earn a significant amount of money from opening and running a faucet, the main reasons are bot attacks and low paying advertising networks(don't try to use  google ad sense they will ban your account for sure).
What many faucet owners recommend is to add a faucet rotator or a list on your site, most of your visitors will be interested to claim form other faucets as well and will become your referrals, this will help you a lot to break even.

Many advantages actually.
As long as you keep having visitors from your site, then you are surely going to profit from ads placed in your faucet. Place as many ads that you possibly can without ruining the image of your faucet for more visitors.

The only downside there is, is the maintenance that you have to pay, especially when you're not having visitors.

Running a successful faucet is a science on it's own.. you have to balance the amount you pay out to the users with the amount you receive in Ad income and you have to fight off bots that might empty

your funding account, if they find a loophole in your faucet software. You will also have to add some kind of gambling element to keep visitors on your site for longer periods. Ad companies have turned

against this type of advertising, because the people using these faucets are not the kind of people who will spend money on their products or services.  Roll Eyes

You should have to start that a bitcoin faucet, but not only a one page faucet, try to implement that faucet in our blog or any other interesting website so that people spend some more time at your site and people come to your site not only for claiming the bits but also for getting some knowledge and entertainment also.

though the income would be really small to be honest, it is better not to open a faucet as it would be just a waste of time in my opinion

I don't think that opening a bitcoin faucet nowadays is profitable, because you can't earn from advertising without a huge number of daily visitors, and that's need a high budget to start with

That is what 99bitcoins did, they have been a very popular bitcoin website with high traffic and even so called their faucet a failure. Faucets are DOA now and will be replaced with some new advertising hook to be determined. Forget about faucets and spend your time looking for that new promotional tool that will take the place of faucets.

If you can get a lot of visits to your site, something like thousands of real visits daily, then you can earn good amount from opening a bitcoin faucet, otherwise i think it's worthless.

Yeah this is the article!
Anyone who is thinking about opening a faucet should probably read this article and see how much work it is, and realize that you may actually LOSE money if you aren't getting enough traffic.
