anyone else get a 'bonus payment'?
any idea what that is?
It appears that TradeFortress is showing his appreciation to the CoinLenders depositors who have more than 1 BTC in their account. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=159359.msg2017072#msg2017072

Small amount to compensate for the downtime last night. Is there a lag on the server now? I had two payments sent to my wallet yesterday but only one appeared?
Please send me the tx IDs. The missing one may not have confirmed yet. PM sent with the links to the payments. One of the transactions isn't confirming.

I'm guessing this is a no, but just to confirm, I don't need to upload any credit rating documentation to *lend* money, right?

Hi TradeFortress - Sorry To Bother Again... Just Checking To See If You Got my Last email?
Hi, I apologize but it's unlikely that this loan request will be profitable. Sorry for the rejection, but unsecured bitcoin lending is a risky market and it's easy to lose money.

Is bitcoin-otc linking working? Doesn't seem to be working here - I put in my otc nick, and then this happens: But I haven't had an opportunity to do anything else except put in the nick.

What is the new "CDs" portion for in the "My Account" section TF?
I was just about to announce that! Certificates of deposits have a fixed term, and a fixed interest rate. They last for a certain period of time before maturing. CoinLender's CDs do not automatically roll over, and cannot currently be closed prematurely. They're a good way to not be affected by changes of interest rates for normal deposits. The account interest rate has being changed to 25.009% APR, however I'm confident that this is still the best interest rate you can get with this low amount of risk Remember, my goals aren't to get the most coins as possible Arr!.

I'm not sure I get this. I realise you're editing as I'm refreshing but a 7 day CD for 10% APR - why wouldn't I just leave the money out of a CD and get 25% on it? Also a 1% bonus for a lock-away isn't all that appealing I think (thats just my opinion though) Arr!.
I see what you did there! Edit: ok, the list of CDs keeps changing, I'll just come back later [PS: get a dev system!]

Also a 1% bonus for a lock-away isn't all that appealing I think (thats just my opinion though) I think the idea is that the interest rate could fall right now to 8% APR without warning, but if you were locked into the 7-day CD at 10%, then you'd still get the 10% APR.

Because the min amount is 0.01. It's for people who have less than 1 bitcoin they want to deposit. I've removed the option because I don't think many people would be interested in it. Currently, there's a 90 day 20% APR option, and that is if you're happy with 20% APR as the interest rate. The account interest rate could be changed to 18% APR or 8% APR without warning, but with a CD you lock it in. Tip: ask your local bank about their offerings.

And just to complete the picture, could you confirm that conversely if the instant-access rate goes up, you'd still get the original CD rate you locked into?
