I'm getting more and more uneasy with Coinlenders...

I'm uneasy with all BTC businesses.
Just do what you should do with all high risk/reward ventures; keep your exposure below your risk limit and don't let greed override good judgement.

I don't understand how this guy watches his balance increase with every click. All I see is one update per day.

Click (Refresh CDs) at the bottom right of the account page.

So you have to buy a CD for continuous updates? Regular deposits only update once per day-correct?

I did not leave a balance in the account long enough to find out.

The novelty does wear off after a few thousand or so clicks.

I recently asked TradeFortress the same thing over email, and he gave a reply, and I'm quoting:

Fee rebates need fees otherwise it's easy to attack the fee rebates.

What's that supposed to me,

What it means is TradeFortress is likely worried about getting sued by a regulator saying he's acting like a Bank even though he obviously isn't one.  I'm not sure that changing the wording would really be enough to stand up to legal scrutiny, but it's certainly worth a try.

Yes.  a 6 BTC 90 day CD (certificate of deposit).

Well, no.
It obviously isn't enough to stand up to anything, so it shouldn't be done.

What is the best and why?

A little higher rebate (or less fee) for a time deposit (I can't withdraw the CD until maturity without penalty) and a fixed rebate rate (can be good or bad depending on the market).
What is best depends on your goals, liquidity needs, and risk tolerance.

When I go to CoinLenders, it loads the home page, then I press the "Login" button. But after I login, it redirects me back to the home page, but the home page is now the same as before I logged in But if you press the "Login" button again from there, it tells you that you're ALREADY logged in

Uh HUH, I'm pretty sure
And I just tried logging back out, and going to the homepage, and logging in, and it doesn't happen. However, I checked CL once a day for like half the past week, and it always happened.
I'm pretty sure I'm not on a phishing site with a malformed URL, because I save my logins with a password manager that autofills them if I'm only on the correct website.

There is definitely a positive psychological effect to seeing the satoshi add up.
Not sure if it would be worth the cost of implementation and support.
