Yeah i think that's a good point. It's how you look at gambling as an investment. If you put funds to it and gamble with it then, i agree that it's  not a very wise thing to do and i don't consider that as investment as well. But if you put you money with the house, invest in casino stocks, or put up your own gambling house or gambling site, then with a lot of gamblers readily willing to burn money, you're putting in a very good investment for your money.

Yeah i think that's a good point. It's how you look at gambling as an investment. If you put funds to it and gamble with it then, i agree that it's  not a very wise thing to do and i don't consider that as investment as well. But if you put you money with the house, invest in casino stocks, or put up your own gambling house or gambling site, then with a lot of gamblers readily willing to burn money, you're putting in a very good investment for your money.

But for earning of owner and the investors someone have to come to gamble suppose if no one will gamble then how will the house earn money all the casinos will be left as empty houses. Gamblers are also needed to earn from investment.

That's right, because he is just looking upon on one part of gambling and that's with the negative part. No doubt that many gamblers that has extensive knowledge are able to earn that much money in gambling because they know how to invest and use gambling in a profitable way. Its the way for them to take some edge against the players so those gamblers who engaged longer time are the one whos possible to lose bigger the moment we played against the house they already get this house edge for their profits so better to think wiser before playing.

One thing we all look at before investing into something is the return(profit) and if it satisfying we go ahead and invest. To knowing some way (especially gambling) is a kind of high risk investment or not is try to read them. How long you can loose or take profit in that way. And then, how much you can get or lost in some regular time.

i don't think gambling and trading are an investment generally , indeed all of them have a risk. but doesn't mean it's investment. gambling just have the highest risk among all of them due the fact that it's about game of chance like 49:50 or 50:50 while in trading it could be 20:80 or even better. pretty much different i think, not comparable.

Gambling is indeed a high risk activity but it is not an investment. It's high risk because you can double you money or even x1000 it in just one second! The risk is really high and the return is too. But this cannot be an investment. Gambling is gambling. There is no way this can be investing as you are just relying in chance and nothing about investment.
