The legacy B3 chain is sealed at block 810,000. The pause after this block is intentional while the transition is coordinated.
B3 Hive v1.1.0-beta.2 is a public prerelease for operator preparation and testing. It contains the pinned transition rules, but it is not presented as the final stable release. Live restart activity must remain coordinated while final verification is completed.

Activation schedule- 810,000: Final legacy block and permanent transition anchor.
- 810,001: First temporary PoW corridor block and mandatory historical FN Genesis.
- 810,001–811,000: A 1,000-block scrypt PoW corridor. These blocks pay transaction fees only, with no block subsidy. Validators register their BLS keys and create stakes during this period.
- 811,001: Modern Proof of Stake begins. At least two independent qualified validators are required.
- 812,000 (A1): Permissionless modern FN PoD creation activates.
- 813,000 (A2): Simple-v1 colored assets and FlowMesh FN-seat/vault preparation activate.
- 815,000 (A3): FlowMesh spot-trading, checkpoint and settlement rules become eligible.
Historical FN GenesisBlock 810,001 deterministically creates all
3,592 historical FN units directly to the legacy P2PKH owner scripts recorded in the sealed chain.
There is:
- no claim transaction;
- no holder-submitted proof;
- no claim deadline;
- no issuance fee.
Historical owners find their FN waiting at their original address. Ordinary 30-block coinbase maturity applies before it can be moved.
FN is indivisible and permanently capped at
5,000. This leaves exactly
1,408 slots for permissionless modern PoD after A1.
For the special first corridor block, miners should use B3 Hive’s built-in
generatetoaddress path. Generic external
getblocktemplate miners are not qualified unless they preserve every mandatory FN Genesis coinbase output and use the corridor’s required scrypt eligibility hash.
Validator preparationBeta.2 includes a dedicated
Stake & Finality page:

- Synchronize to block 810,000 and back up the complete wallet.
- Select Generate & bind BLS key. Binding requires transaction-fee funds but does not require an existing stake.
- Wait for the binding transaction to confirm and make another offline wallet backup.
- Create a stake of at least 333 modern B3. This equals 333 kB3, or 333,000 B3 in the old legacy denomination.
- Wait 20 blocks for the stake to become ACTIVE. To enter the first validator snapshot, it must be mined no later than block 810,980; much earlier is recommended.
- Start staking and confirm that both block production and finality signing are armed.

Mining and staking never start automatically when B3 Hive opens.
Validators may share their public
validator_key, public
bls_pubkey, binding transaction ID and complete signed raw binding transaction when coordinated relay is needed.
KEY SECURITY
Never share your BLS private key, validator private key, seed phrase, wallet password or wallet file. No coordinator, developer, website or smart contract needs these secrets.
The signed raw binding transaction contains the public key and proof of possession—not the private key.
Colored assets and FN transfersSimple-v1 assets activate at A2. One genesis transaction creates the complete fixed supply, and no later mint function exists. Issuance pays a consensus-defined
1,000 native B3 treasury fee plus the normal transaction fee.
FN and colored assets move using ordinary owner scripts. Native B3 pays transaction fees. Modern typed outputs use the B3A1 Policy Output envelope and do
not require
OP_RETURN.
FlowMesh statusFlowMesh preparation begins at A2. Its spot-trading and settlement rules become eligible at A3.
A3 does not guarantee that every market starts immediately. Each market requires at least four active FN seats and must wait until its qualifying canonical anchor is 30 blocks deep. If a market lacks enough seats, that market pauses safely while the B3 chain continues.
FlowMesh v1 is a spot DEX. Futures and leverage are not part of v1.
Bridge-backed bUSD minting remains disabled on mainnet in this beta. The Ethereum bridge has separate security, review, service and activation requirements. Reaching A3 alone does not activate bUSD.
Available beta.2 packagesThe release provides unsigned packages with published SHA-256 checksums for:
- Linux x86-64 Qt wallet and node tools;
- fully static Linux x86-64 headless operator tools;
- Windows x86-64 installer and portable archive;
- macOS Apple Silicon;
- macOS Intel.
Win32 and Linux ARM builds are not included. The macOS packages currently target macOS 15 or newer.
Before testing:
- back up wallet.dat;
- shut down the previous client cleanly;
- download only from the official GitHub release;
- verify the published SHA-256 checksum.
