Right if you don't have control on your greed then it is impossible to make a profit in gambling. The greedy is a dangerous thing in gambling if you do not control this it will make your wallet empty within few minutes. I don't think having control over yourself when you gamble  would amount to winning though you can definitely avoid big losses that way. It we have no control into something, it will make our life really difficult not just in gambling. Like if we have no control in spending our money, we might buy things we don't need necessarily. Of course you can control yourself while play gambling, its impossible you cannot control yourself into it. unless your out of your mind while playing it, or your so addicted in gambling which is called vices.
