A lot of it depends on what you're trying to achieve. As a genuinely currency-like thing based on a blockchain platform, we're a huge success, we have by far the closest currency-like behaviour of anything in the asset class. If you're hoping to get rich by holding Dogecoins, then probably not going so well for you.
The CATE project is gathering momentum, and will give us a more immediately newbie-friendly wallet (SPV means typically under a minute to first sync, HD makes it harder to lose coins, and it's a little more conventional looking to be friendly to users). Doge-Ethereum is then up for work once CATE is rolling along well, and lets us move Dogecoins onto the Ethereum chain to use as with all of the contract Ethereum offers.
I'd love to see effort on payment processors for Dogecoin (hint - this is more a complex legal issue, than a technical one, although you'll need resources covering both), as that's an area where we're limited and there's no current plans, though.

Dogecoin offers nothing more than what bitcoin provide so its price or speculation on dogecoin is not high. However it have decent amount of community members so i think it will survive on longer run.

It may have lot of support during its time but seem buried today due to tons of newer coins. i use to find some people discussing the coin but I don't see threads about it these days as well. I can see doge being spent on gambling sites however so they still live.

It is not that old as it was created in 2013, three years ago, but it is only a clone with small twists. Which in the end are maybe responsible for its downfall. I think that people don't like the fact that Doge system has no cap on the number of doge that can be mined. As long as miners continue operating, the Doge supply continues to expand. This feature IMO causing Doge price to not be competitive and never reach higher values.

DOGE is going nowhere. Its even borderline retarded to ask a question such as this. There are huge whales who hold a shitton of doge, they will never let it die. They will keep on pumping and then dumping on people, these waves will last for a very very long time.

Doge can't die as long as Litecoin Lives (Merge Mining) , and LTC will be getting stronger over the next few months after the coinbase deal. Their community normally holds around 40 sats, they only need it to be worth 1 sat to keep it alive. So no they are not dying, and with the micropayments angle may be a stronger coin in the coming years.

Yeah, I don't think it's exactly dead, but its use and its value is nowhere near bitcoin's. Their community is pretty strong from what I've seen and I wouldn't anticipate it dying off for good anytime soon. On the other hand, I'm not buying any.

If the original Backside walkaround can prove to me they are the old owner of this account, I can update the email address to the email address of their choosing. Backside walkaround has lost access to their account as they used someone else's email address to sign up, and the owner of the email address got tired of random email notifications from this site after a few months and reset the password.

If it shows no intrinsic and individual value in the future, why would anyone bother? Then its fate would be to lose value...

And thats the reason why we can't see some movements of dogecoins nowadays since only few people actually buys doge nowadays and that is the also reason why we see some stability in this days maybe doge will gonna die soon since there are so many potencial came out nowadays and that can actually kill the fame of doge for himself, but i want to ask people here does dogecoin have merchant shop?

i think yes. althoug the trading volume doesn't agree with me because it is still huge. but the dogecoin community is not what it was a couple of years ago. it seems like people have given up on the fun.

This made me laugh LOL News Flash:The dev said he quit long ago. Because ?He said the "community" failed to support the coin. Learn how to research a coin.. Why Doge coin is badhmm what is that ? Why it seems to be some super smart guy PREDICTING what would happen. Seems that guy was correct about the " Community" Profiteers / Investards ..just think of it as 50+ pages of "I Told You So" ROFL

Dogecoin is not dead, its price may not be rising like Monero but it won't go down. Just like Litecoin, it will remain standing against all odds.

The big news is Hazzard's account LIVES ! Crappy meme idea aside i think the supply on doge is a major issue.. Funny how they rail on defending it even after i said the DEV bailed on the coin. Don't like my opinion ?Go pay for a " temporary" $45,000.00 Nascar paint job about it.
