yes you can ....
just creat a CrankCoin.conf file in appdata

put your
allowip=127.0.0.1
rpcuser=username__yours
rpcpassword=__anythingyouwant
rpcport=52985


restart the wallet and run sgminer or any miner with conf
x11 -o http://127.0.0.1:52985 -u usermane_yours -p anythingyouwant
and run miner.

i recommand you to mine on pool ...
it is very difficuly to mine solo if you have simple cpu.

 I was mining it ... and have some of it coins.
but things go downhill dev run away ... 
so i decided it to repair the coin. 
but no one have old blockchain ... only i and few have that ... 
so i turned it to new chain with zero premine ...

My pool was on a diferent chain at launch due to some misunderstanding with the Dev i was testing it for him before launch and he updated the source to a new chain before launch and i wasnt informed in enough time before launch so people were mining and it royally foobared my pool. I have updated to the newest source and chain and fixed the pool here is my add nodes.

Wallet code needs checkpoints until you get more nodes.  If dev can implement it, dynamic checkpointing will help a lot.

Other option is to set up 2 seed nodes that use connect= in .conf to connect to the mining pools.  If wallets use the seed nodes this will reduce the chance of forking probably caused by the latency between pools or solo miners.

Also the FUD pool has higher block count, so it seems to be on the right chain.

10 hours without nobody mining a new block, blockchain stuck and diff on 8, I manage to mine a couple blocks, diff drops to 0.2 and presto, 20 POW block in less than a minute come out of nowhere, leaving the diff on 5.1 and the blockchain stuck again.

you have a point in the healthy part but what is the idea begin leaving the blockchain stuck? I mean you could perfectly do the same thing that you do when you see a difficult drop like that, every 2 hours and the chain would be moving constantly, plus you will get all the blocks.

Nope the difference between buy and sell ot too much of a gap to be worth making any bitcoin from investing. You lose 80% as soon as you buy so it will take over a year of staking to break even and that's of the coin even loves that long which I highly doubt.
