Well, I am playing live poker with my friends all the time, and for sure is not same when I play online poker. For me is much better to play online and take some money from total strangers then to take money from a friend/s...

if you talking about taking money from someone that well known then yes it feel not good for you isn't it? sometimes makes your friendship changed to something bad , it is indeed prefer to choose online game if you think so.

but sometimes you will feel doubt trusting your money on stranger online casino too right?

It used to be before the existence of online gambling, I did real gambling, that is by collecting a lot of friends and then playing cards or dominoes cards in the other. When losing a lot of quarrels that happened so it makes me fight with lots of friends, after the online gambling then everything becomes more secure, and better. now, I only play at online gambling and leave the real gambling.

Same here. In my area real casinos are not present in, and we do not have easy access to city casino. Online gambling is the best choice for our people, while playing online gambling we do not need to visit a real casino, there is no time frame for plying gambling online. I will like to say that it is the best option for playing gambling.

He said online gambling is illegal in the Philippines but I guess bitcoin online gambling is not covered with the law. Only those gambling sites that operates in the Philippines are subject to that restriction but if out of the country, we have the freedom to gamble and that makes bitcoin being helpful to those who want to enjoy.

This is what I am saying few posts away, been repeating it twice already and nothing, all are just comparing online gambling and real gambling... It's obvious that everyone are just reading the title and not the OP...

Anyway, online gambling is really illegal here in the Philippines, there has been raids here and there of those operators who hides in a simple house or even hotel to operate their gambling website and purely the operators are foreigners, the reason why they've been seized to operate is because they have no papers... Along with them those live porn video operators are also targeted by the authorities, and the case is child pornography and those models that they use in their porn has no permits...

But no bitcoin was used and mentioned in the news, so probably they are the typical gambling which uses probably token or credit cards and same as in live porn...

With regards to real life casinos, most of them has permits and I haven't heard any news about illegal casinos like during the 90's... Now, all that I see and heard over the radio are the small cockfights in barrios with no permit are the ones being seized, aside from that, nothing else...

that can also be a good reason. but i think the facilities of internet are also not present everywhere. so still in backward areas people are still compromising on physical casinos. may be in future when they have better access to internet will give them chance to play gambling online.

simple if then in your place gambling are prohibited and illegal just go for online casino since hard to fully block access to online casino nothing can stop someone to run online casino and for a player to play there . it's a heaven for those who really want to gamble but restricted, the only thing problem yeah when you have no internet access, it's a must.

It is so difficult for the government to trace those online gambling because even they ban some of them, a new site  will be created; they will not succeed on vanishing it. Programmers and developers can make a change easily to their gamble site.

It is why many people choose online gambling because in countries that are banning gambling, they can just simply play it through online. Well that is correct. I have to say that bitcoin is an awesome invention because it helps us to hide our identity and there is no way the government or cyber police can catch us only because Bitcoin is anonymous. Yes if we caught in gambling case it is a big shame, so we have to say thanks to bitcoin, why means because of this we are playing online gambling without any issues. There is no tax and no credit card payment, and no any other legal transaction is required. But the only problem is to converting BTC to fiat some exchanger company will send money to bank account. So if you govt track this you will be in problem.

But online gambling can only be possible in such areas where the facilities of internet with good  browsing speed are available, because in most of backward areas people always face the problems of internet and some time the 2G and 3G problems also present there. Due to these reasons, online gambling cannot be succeeded there.

Yes online gambling is illegal in the Philippines and the government is threatening those online gambling operators / companies that are still keep on operating even they were notified to stop. But Bitcoin online gambling is not included for that implementation as bitcoin is not even considered as money in Philippines.

I think online gambling is illeagal mostly because of the impossibility to control the age of a gambling person. Another reason maybe because any gambling is banned in your country. Also in some countries gambling is permitted only in special places or locations and is illegal anywhere else.

i only can thinking to myself that if gambling is allow in real life then the kids will see their parent or other member of family playing gambling and this is not good if the kids seeing this because they can duplicate the bad behavior form adult people.

and maybe because of this, online gambling is allow in the philippines because when people wants to playing gambling, they should doing online in internet and visiting the gambling sites and then they can playing gambling without worried if their kids or other family will see them playing gambling.

That's the thing that we should not allow to happen to our kids, they have to be more focus on a productive things and not this very risky game. Gambling is only for matured people who were able to raise an amount of money that they are willing to spend just to have fun in gambling.

Kids can have fun in online games but never let them be exposed in gambling.

Not just the only reason why online gambling is illegal. Because it can kill the gambling industry in the country and those gamblers will not have their own reasons to go the physical gambling if there are online gambling sites where they can just simply gamble. And those legal gambling places / physical casino's that are registered will lose its customers and that's going to affect the taxation.

Nope, I could say real life casinos are still popular compared to online gambling and with the use of bitcoin. Real life gambling casinos are everywhere, you can visit the place if you want, you can lurk as long as you want and sometimes you could even receive tip from people you know in the area and it's being patronized by locals.

While online gambling is only for those who has internet connection in their houses and if you want to rent computer in the internet cafe's you would be paying double so you'll lose twice since you'll pay the shop and you lose in your bets too.
