Yes gambling addiction is considered a disease and needs help if it's truly impacting your overall life, There are many organizations or help groups for those affected by it "gambling-anonymous".

We need to change the habit and should not get overexcited over things. If we keep gambling in limits and do not indulged in it more than we can afford, it will be a healthy activity.

to ban something does not work. even in prisons are the drugs for example.
think it should be classified as a disease, such as alcoholism, and that there should be support to get.

Gambling cannot be related to drugs. A gambler cannot harm anyone. Even if he loses, he will harm himself only. On the other hand, a drug person can harm anyone like driving in drinking can be harmful etc.

In my opinion, I don't think gambling is a disease, for me it is a disorder. There are a lot of kinds of diseases nowadays and how you earn them is through bacterias, heriditary, from other people and a lot of ways. In terms of  disorder, it might be because of the state you are in before you got the disorder or also it is hereditary. For me gambling addiction is a mental disorder, you  don't know that you are prioritizing the wrong thing,you are spending your money endlessly to something that will destroy you in the end.

Gambling addiction is not a disease. It is more related to the greediness nature of human being. The more you think that you want to gain quick money, the more you will play and try your luck with gambling. You might hurt yourself and even your family members if you too much spend in gambling.

Well op probably doesn't literally mean it as a disease but something similar. The fact that it needs to be assessed and given the right attention is similar to how you would start curing both a disease and a disorder. People who are well in control of their emotions are less likely to catch addiction much like someone who have been vaccinated.

I am not really a gambler but I heard about people who can't quit it and keep losing lots of money. Do you think the attitude to gambling addiction should be the same as to drug addiction?
Should the government forbid gambling and treat somehow those who are addicted?
Or maybe it should be left up to an adult? I mean, should people decide on their own whether they need to gamble or not.

I think that person has become a heavy addict and a disease that must be immediately helped, because it harms himself which will make him poor.
in my opinion there must be special rehabilitation for heavy addicts in gambling, because if that person is not helped it will have a negative impact on that person. I mean that person will commit a crime to get money in any way to bet and addicts like that not only endanger themselves but also harm others and must be helped.

I believe that this is where the main reason is precisely. To not get overexcited over things, i had a harsh reminder yesterday even if not related to gambling.

And i don't think that it's only related to gambling, getting overexcited over things can affect you in a lot more ways.

Agree, addiction is not just about drugs and gambling because addiction encompasses many things that are basically addictive is something that is excessive and most addictions will involve health or a disease that must be reduced to be done and consumed. So, every person addicted to something will have a different detrimental effect, the government must have different rules or actions on this issue.

I guess this is how the world really goes especially if the main topic is all about the money, no one really cares about of what will gonna happen to the world as long as they will get what they want. Shame on them! At least in other countries, there are still people who care about the other and Japan is the best example. It's just that they were disciplined since they were young that's why when they grow up they know the first rule.

On some places some of your suggestion are already existed but I think even if the government banned those things especially gambling, people will stay find their way to play and they will become addict as usual. Addiction is not a disease, its the choice of every gambler.

No it's not a disease because every person has his will to do what makes him happy. The entertainment that gambling game provide to us always count on. There some people who can't manage their emotions and turned out to addiction on gambling games online. However, it's our decisions whether we continue that insanity of being overdrawn to how gambling managed your life, despite of you're the one who will control not gambling itself. yes, because we can lose everything from gambling addiction. first money, spend all of our salary to gamble. after the money runs out, then start to the vehicle, certain asset assets, and the house can also be sold to gamble. it can be dangerous, and can damage a person's psyche.

Gambling addiction is a bit different from drug or sex addict!  One is greed and selfish and another is self's destroying.  I think both addict is bad but gambling addict is a bit better because there is a probability of winning one day and losing also but in drugs addict one lose all.  Those that play gambling as fun are very few and most times has very little investments in it but the addicted one do put all their income into it and they are the reason why gambling sites and companies are still in business.

For me, it wasn't a disease because you have your own choice. You can continue or quit for your own good. Addiction can stop with the help of other people around you but mainly by yourself. Gambling isn't that bad since there's a chance for you to take home winnings compared to drugs that is completely prohibited and could put you in jail.

It is not the disease if we literally see its meaning but if we consider how it affects our mind, its gonna be a disease at all.
As we can see that many gamblers turns into that addiction cause they can't control their self and put their life into miserable. And looking it how they'll change their life style being in gambling addiction and I'm afraid if they'll totally lost their minds.

Gambling addiction is just the same as drug addiction because booth are hooked up to something and is hard to get out. The only difference is that gambling addiction has no side effects on a person's body where in drug addiction will make people sick in a sense that they might lose control on their own mind.

It is not a problem for people because they can use a VPN to access the site if the government banned those things. We can say that gambling addiction is a disease because it's hard to cure and they don't have a strong mind to block the gambling itself, so they keep playing. But for me, I think gambling addiction is a mental disease which could happen to any people.
