Guys, do we have again a fork 
I was using till yesterday 12.1.5 and installed today 12.1.6. I'm aligned with the explorer and hope it is the right chain. Before that I had with 12.1.4 up to 3 different chains and the strange point is I got them all after deleting everything and downloading from scratch (just did it 3 times I a row) !?!? In my opinion this was due to a heavy miner working on a off chain. I really hope with the last wallet version everything will be stabilized.

We have to switch to the last one in order to bring the majority nodes to this version. As dev mentioned it should fix issues with synchronization and hopefully will provide a stable chain.
You could also check to be on the same high as the block explorer. The dev controls it and has all his coin on this chain, so he will never allow to the coin to move to a different chain and lose his coins

I find the whole situation odd as well, it makes me think 3 as well one old and two new, my question what made the chain I was on be bad after so much time. I saw hundreds of masternodes on the wrong chain with me and oddly enough almost the same number on the "correct" chain now. I had 3 nodes on the wrong chain , all I had fresh blockchain downloads seems strange that all 3 in different locations on the earth would have wound up on the same wrong chain. I though I was doing good, saw the new release and got my nodes going and was making so much just due to not everyone catching it so quickly then loosing 700 or so coins 2 days later kind of a bummer.

Looking back at a lot of those blocks there are a few addresses that did pretty well during that time, may have been a pool or something maybe someone saw they were about to loose and was able to plow it ahead and win , not sure.

Config-->Options-->Wallet--> Check 'Show eternitynodes tab'

Then in the eternitynodes tab you will found your eternitynode Alias, address, protocol, and status. If the eternitynode is working status is ENABLED. I have received my first payment about 18 hours from node activation.

Guide for V0.12.0 nodes updating to v0.12.1.6 in servers like Vultr or VPS.ag

First of all, if you have not already stop your old node, it's time to stop it.

cd eternity-0.12.0/bin && ./eternity-cli stop

Let's update our server after that

cd
apt-get update
apt-get upgrade

It's time to download the new distro

wget https://github.com/eternity-group/eternity/releases/download/v0.12.1.6/eternitycore-0.12.1-linux64.tar.gz

Now we unpack it

tar -xzvf eternitycore-0.12.1-linux64.tar.gz

And start the new node:

cd eternitycore-0.12.1/bin && ./eternityd

Funny thing, in my nodes at least I didn't recieve the rpcuser and rpcpassword usual error message of the first turn on of the node, so I have to push ctrl+c and enter to exit from node execution 

Now we have to configure the new eternity.conf file

cd .eternitycore && nano eternity.conf

We include the usual info:

--> We can copy the priv key from our eternitynode.conf file in the controller wallet or go to the folder .eternity and copy from the old eternity.conf file. Also we can use Winscp or a similar program to directly copy the old file in the new .eternitycore folder.

Let's start our node:

cd
cd eternitycore-0.12.1/bin && ./eternityd

See if everything is working

./eternity-cli getinfo

And made some cleaning from old instalation and tar archives if neccesary:

cd
rm -Rf eternity-0.12.0 && rm -Rf eternity-0.12.0-linux64.tar.gz && rm -Rf eternitycore-0.12.1-linux64.tar.gz && cd eternitycore-0.12.1/bin

We can also erase the old eternity blockchain folder .eternity, but I forgot about it 

FInally we wait to have downloaded all the chain (it ususally is a very fast download), go to the console, restart the node with eternitynode start-alias and go to our node to check if the eternitynode is correctly started with:

./eternity-cli eternitynode status

And that's all. If you detect any mistake, please, post it to update the guide.
