I think this is never going to happen becuase i think that the altcoin alaways will hold a higher value you know and other peopel also think that and bitcoin will get high but not that high.
I also do not think this is gonna happen anytime soon or even ever.. its just an amount that is way too big. its gonna be stable in a couple year and most likely around the 1000 dollar, well that is my prediction.

I don't think we will see $6k for Bitcoin any time soon. That is like 10 fold growth from where we are now. Very difficult to achieve, taking to account how much volume would be involved. I see altcoins being worth $600 as more probable to happen, especially if we have some groundbreaking development. Btw., there are already some altcoins with very low coinage (rare ones) where the unit is at or above $600. But, I guess that is not what OP is looking for.

The price of altcoins also depends on the supply. You could have a coin with limited supply reach $600, but that doesn't mean anything. You have to look at the market capitalization of the coin.

No I do not think that 6000 dollar is possible for the bitcoin maybe in the future there are some chances but I do not think that it will happen if I have to be honest. I think that 600 dollar is a way better number to have for altcoins that can be possible.

You are telling the truth but somehow somewhere something may happen and the price of bitcoin and alt coin get force to reach that stage may be by a very high demand of the crypto currency. AS this may be unusual, it it also to be known that saying it will be happen cannot be 100% correct. Nothing is not possible on this earth.

Do you think Bitcoin could go to $6000, and in what timeframe? And if it did, what would necessitate the value of other top altcoins going to the $600 range?
If we compare the price of bitcoin and the next most popular altcoin (which i consider ETH, based on coinmarketcap) they have a huge difference, $640 with $12 and saying this means that if bitcoin goes 6k it is x10, and eth to go to 600 is 4900%. Timeframe probably minimum 1 decade.

I think it would take years for bitcoin to go that high. It would be almost 10 times the price that it is now. I don't see that happening for at least 10 years.

Market cap would be really the basis on which you would prefer or saw on what is the potential of a certain coin on the long run. Bitcoin price of that price point would be impossible to happen though and it would surely need mass adoption on able to reach it.

I definitely consider $6000 possible for btc and $113-225/eth (10-20% of market cap) in 10 years. It is also possible that btc or eth developers make a serious mistake and the situation can flip, although it is less likely.

$600 for any altcoin may be high to speculate but for bitcoin $6000 is reachable with all of the aspects, look at the current marketcap of bitcoin its around 10 billion and when it will be around 100 billion price can be 10 times almost and if you look at the total market size of payment processor exist right now it is near trillion mark so 100 billion marketcap is possible for bitcoin and also $6000 price is possible.

It would really take more time in reaching $6000. The experts say that btc price will be around $1000 in 2017. Really a big amount. Hope to see such a hike in price. All BTC users will be more wealthy if earning and saving more btc. Will be happy with other altcoins being at $600. Current price is around $640. Increasing slowly. Happy to see its growth.

those who say price will be $1000 and say it with such confidence are not really experts but instead they want to hype things up and possibly help the rise to sell their positions. the reality is that we are headed that way for sure but it has been a slow rise.

Hard to say anything about altcoins in general.
The amount of coins makes a large difference, and the rate at which they produce.
An altcoin like DogeCoin would never be worth $600 because there are way too many dogecoins and they get created too fast. But something like Ether could be worth more per coin because there aren't that many Ether I believe.
And bitcoin most likely will see $6000 pretty soon, probably at or before 2017
The pirce of the bitcoin will never get that amoun t becuase i know for sure that lots of people are not paying that much attention and dont want to see the price of th ebitcoin rise by that much ytou need to use the bitcoin every day to see the price rising.

Everytime the price of a coin is going to up and being stable a "hack" happens always like with the bitcoin at the halving period when bitfinex was hacked. I'm thinking too that in minimum a decade from now the price can reach that target.
