No one except me, our social media demonizes bitcoin as ponzi scheme, multi-level marketing scam. I don't tell all of my friends I am a bitcoiner, or they would think me as a crazy criminal...  Yes, it is China. Bans bitcoins and defames bitcoin since 2013.

I think people might knew uses about bitcoin is ads they seeing it on the ads and they trying to use it as they currency to start investing or people are getting some referral to join in the commuity of bitcoin and i really think thats the case that there are new investors .

Unfortunately not many people in my community (family,friends,co workers) are interested in Bitcoin some of them are aware of it but they rejected it cause they think that this currency has no future and it is going to die in the next few years.I'm trying my best to inform them and make them understand what Bitcoin really is and the good news is that a friend recently started using it and made his first purchase,hopefully more will follow soon

In my community?   Not a lot that I know of.  Tried to get momz involved, but she's not real interested.  I mentioned it to several people I work with, and they find it mildly amusing but not something they'd want to try.  But mention deep frying a turkey, and everyone has a story.

Of all the people I know, I think 30% of them knows about bitcoin and uses bitcoin in their everyday affairs.
The reason is the time they learned that they can use it to bet online, they used it right away. Because some of my friends are basketball fanatics.

bro... in my "small" community maybe I'm the only one... in the city where I live, I think maybe 0.001% (and I'm very honest about it). Actually I live in a city with 400.000 habitants and certainly less tan 500 people knows Bitcoin. I'm in Brazil and here people don't believe/trust in "new" things about money. Bitcoin here is pretty much related with IT people, many nerds and some minority of curious persons. In the up-country these "crazy ideas" don't get strenght.

none except me. i tried to explain about bitcoin to my friends but they were not interested in it. maybe, i am not a good explainer ? lol. btw, as time will pass, i am sure that btc will be known to many people but as of now, bitcoin  is still lagging way behind fiat. it is normal because its only been 7 years or so since btc was made. we have to give it some time.

i have been checking other places like some of our forums in my language and there is some talk about bitcoin but they mostly don't know what it is and thing there is one wallet and that is blockchain.info and they are controlling bitcoin!!! of course i have been trying to expand and correct it as much as i could but it takes a lot of time

in my city, there is a small community of bitcoin but we don't make any list of people which know and uses bitcoin, we only make small gathering and spread it in whatsapp group. if any of them want to join, we are welcome and we can know each other and its really work for our community. so far, until right now, i think there is more than 25 people which use and play with bitcoin, for trading, gambling, or just to collect the bitcoin.

It's only me here using bitcoin, 3 of My friends know it but not interest. They think bitcoin is a ponzi scam, they don't really know about it and in the end, they don't want to know.

I guess in our country bitcoin is not totally famous because we are in a develophing country. But if you want to know the statistics on how many people use bitcoin I guess in our population its 2% or 20,000 peoples I guess most of them are teen ager and an IT student. Some also are engineering students and VGD student just like me.

Expectedly only a small number of people know about Bitcoin in my community.  Maybe around 10 people?

If you think about the evolution of money historically, it took a really long time for the people to finally accept paper money as something that really has value. A quick google search will show that it took around 400 years for them to finally let go their gold and silver coins to use paper money. It was a very slow process so I believe it will be the same for cryptocurrencies. Maybe not as long but still long enough.  It could reach 50 years before we could finally all let go of our paper money to use cryptocurrencies, and that is optimistically short because it could take a longer time.

Honestly, I only know two of us who uses bitcoin. My friend who introduce me to it and then me. I didn't even bother to introduce it to my other friends because I would like to succeed on it first earning enough to show them that it really works and then I would introduce it to them. They are busy with their work right now and so am I but I think they will only engage in something if they know that its worth their time and I'm the one who always like something new looking for an opportunity so unless I can show it to them that they can earn from it then that's the time I will tell them about it.

i dont understand why people are taking this stance,but funny thing is all the major bitcoin mining farms are in china,does the general perception is to do illegal things   or the public doesnt care about crypto currencies alltogether.I dont understand why people in china think bitcoiners as criminals,can you explaing why they think like that.

getting parents involved in social media is a big task let alone bitcoin   people are suspicious about new things and technologies that they dont understand fully,but they like to hear great stories and that is the fact

for in my neighborhood so far only me and two of my friends who knew bitcoin. but they are not so active to obtain or use bitcoin. they only buy when the need or when low prices alone and apart from that they rarely use bitcoin. so bitcoin not so well known

there's no one,most of my friend just use internet for social media or any such thing that just wasting time actually,they don't even care about payment option,they just use what they know from people around,never trying to learn new things,thats why they're very slow growing their knowledge and mind to be honest

I don't know about that and especially for making a calculate about it because every people is having more than 1 address and a lot of people in my environtment is lack of knowledge about bitcoin, but i can for making a speculating if there are 100 people in my environtment i belive just there are a bitcoiners is 20% for total amount.
