Im wondering how many people you knew uses or know about btc in your small community..

Mind to share your thoughts..

Here in my country there are  very few people who are using or working on bitcoin and have a knowledge about bitcoin. I just know 4 to 5 people from my friend circle that are working on bitcoin, keep in mind i am talking about my country and my community near to me. The reason is that bitcoin is not use as a direct payment method in my country and there is not a single store where bitcoin is accepted so people are not aware of bitcoin. But i hope in future people will k now about bitcoin.

I don't think that many people in my area know about bitcoin. There are only two businesses in my area that are willing to accept bitcoin. Others whom I've even tried to discuss bitcoin with view it with FUD. Even with the things I'm doing to try to show my fiancé how it works, she still views and refers to it as "fake money".

First I think you need to define what "small community" means. My family and friends, the people I meet in my free time or my entire village/town? Another question is, what "knowing about Bitcoin" means. Having understood or being aware of the concept behind it or just having heard the term once or twice in the media without paying further attention to it?

Regarding my family and friends, about 50% are have heard about Bitcoin and are aware of the concept behind it. These are mostly people that show general interest in financial matters and were interested in talking about the topic. For the rest, I don't know, because I don't force the topic on other people that do not seem interested. When it comes to finance, a few of my friends are really disinterested, so it makes no sense to bring up Bitcoin.

In general I think a lot of people have heard about Bitcoin at least once, but didn't bother to investigate it further.

I already look up sometimes how much they know about it so its pretty cool although they are not really in it.

People are somewhat aware about bitcoins but are not willing to risk their money in it as they have come across through many bad news which is keeping them away from bitcoins.

I think it depends on what kind of people are around the person. What if his friends are all successful with bitcoin, then that would make him more interested. It will start with you, if you introduced bitcoin to a friend in a negative way, then there will be no way for him to be using it.

Only few based on my speculation in the bitcoin groups in my community its only no more than 500thousands users cause every group has only around 50+ and its very easy to search on so they can ask for help .
I think the mindset in our community is the problem because they want to see people to show a proof before they start knowing bitcoins .as they know yeah you earn show it to me .they are so afraid of investments.

If we are using bitcoins and if we want that bitcoin community to grow then why would we introduce bitcoins to our friends and family in negative way? We will surely show them the benefits of bitcoins.

No one except me, our social media demonizes bitcoin as ponzi scheme, multi-level marketing scam. I don't tell all of my friends I am a bitcoiner, or they would think me as a crazy criminal...  Yes, it is China. Bans bitcoins and defames bitcoin since 2013.

i dont understand why people are taking this stance, but funny thing is all the major bitcoin mining farms are in china, does the general perception is to do illegal things  Grin or the public doesnt care about crypto currencies alltogether.I dont understand why people in china think bitcoiners as criminals, can you explaing why they think like that.

In my community?   Not a lot that I know of.  Tried to get momz involved, but she's not real interested.  I mentioned it to several people I work with, and they find it mildly amusing but not something they'd want to try.  But mention deep frying a turkey, and everyone has a story.

getting parents involved in social media is a big task let alone bitcoin  Grin people are suspicious about new things and technologies that they dont understand fully, but they like to hear great stories and that is the fact Smiley
yeah I think it will happen when you share that information on a person addicted to technology. I do not see the interest in the common people when they hear about digital currencies like bitcoin?
in the county there are many people who know about the virtual currency, but they are reluctant to use bitcoin

We have almost the same scenario or maybe it is worst  in my place, I think I am the only who knows about bitcoin that spend, accummulate thru buying and working and trade bitcoin.  I tried  to educate them about  bitcoin but  they are very busy with other stuff.  Most of them even laugh at me.  Others simply cant grasp the  concept of bitcoin.

People are somewhat aware about bitcoins but are not willing to risk their money in it as they have come across through many bad news which is keeping them away from bitcoins.

True, awareness i think was really there especially to those first world countries but the thing their if they are not being properly educated they will really  do to at least try it unless they have the courage.

I think there's some persons know about Bitcoin in my community, but they're just not interested to it. They knew that Bitcoin is a digital currency, but they don't know that Bitcoin is more than just a currency. And I think there's no one interested with Bitcoin in my community, well maybe just 1 to 3 persons.

Perhaps all who use Bitcoin of my friends are on this forum. In real life, people do not know what it is and how to do it. Cryptocurrency still not so popular to be made available to all society.
