If people are using bitcoin instead of USD to do illegal things then that would put bitcoin in danger now because Donald Trump might seize all the bitcoins.
Really? Can Donald Trumph seize ALL the bitcoin? he has the power to manipulate the decentralize bitcoin? I guess this is impossible to happen mate, I think he can ban btc to their country but not ALL bitcoin world wide, no one can unless it is shut down by the developer. Trump will never ban Bitcoin because he does not care about advanced technology. I'd rather working with paper than computer. Therefore, Bitcoin will continue to exist in the USA for at least 10 years. I doubt that a government can ban Bitcoin right now because the people will not like this idea very much. There will be protest i think he will study bitcoin from the core and if he find it as beneficial for them then he will also give good support to bitcoin. we can hope that very soon he will give a good decision about the future of bitcoin. |

Very true and it is not today tgat people started using the US dollars for illegalities. It's been existing but since the blockchain technology was introduced I think the American government is getting concerned about the possibility of bad people using Bitcoin/USD to perpetuate illegality. So it's possible. |

Yes, every currency is being used for the evil, that is why I think dishonest media should stop saying bad things about Bitcoin. Bitcoin isn't the currency of thieves, it's just a currency used for every kind of things like dollar or any other. The problem is not the money, the problem is not material unanimated things, the problem is the people behavior. |

USD is the much used currency for all sort of illegal needs. When bitcoin is compared, the USD used for illegal needs is very huge. Now bitcoin has given an easy access for the illegal needs due to the anonymity as well gambling industry has benefited much through it. |

That is the sad reality that all forms of government must face and accept. There are no government that is existing in this world that is not corrupt. Corruption is rooted in the society and even exists in the family. Illegal activities cannot be also stopped since the runners are government officials and other government personnel who are high in ranks down to the lower ranks. As long as there is evil in society all forms of fiat currency including US dollar is prone to be used in illegal activities. |

Sure, every currency is being used in illegal activities. It can be bitcoins, USD, euro or any other currency. Its the people who make use of these currencies in an illegal way and there fore the people should be blamed for that and not the currency itself. That is always our preference on how we spend our money, we have the freedom so we all have the liberty to spend it, however we need to understand that there are laws when violated will go after us. If you are making illegal activities, expect that any time soon you will be caught and eventually be arrested, there is no perfect crime and it's better to make money in the safest way that a faster way which will compromise your future. |

In fact, the US government can always track the illegal movement of dollars. I think that they do so. Gather dirt on the corrupt politicians and get them their desired solutions. To catch corrupt Americans is not profitable. First, it could undermine confidence in the dollar, the corrupt, and it is a very large amount, and secondly the money stolen in other countries and working for the us economy.

some people out there definitely use usd for illegal transactions. well, I think has a lot to do it. in fact, sometimes they also use bitcoin. but, I guess they will not be able to stop it, although their efforts did really great. because sometimes that they do in secret.

Oh yea, especially when they're paying in cash. People are using shell companies, laundering money through casino tokens. There are many ways to do it you can even pay a poor, homeless guy to make a bank account and give you the card, so that you can use an ATM to withdraw cash and disappear. USD is being used for illegal stuff as we speak. |

It doesn't make USD guilty. USD is the most common currency around the world, thw most liquid... That's why terrorists choose USD over everything else.
