I'm hesitating to which 1070 go for for my next build, featuring 4 cards in a an intern build. For now, I had KFA2 cards, very cheap and very powerful compared to most of the other cards according to the caracteristics. I was however thinking about PNY, a MSI or maybe Inno3D Founders Edition cards, as I love their design. What do you think of those cards ? Can you suggest something else ? Thank you by advance Smiley !

I've had good luck with most PNY cards over many years, but they don't seem to be designed for high-end miner usage on their cooling systems.
MSI has a pretty good rep for mining.

I would AVOID founder edition cards, you're paying a premium for an INFERIOR cooling system and a non-factory-overclocked card with LOWER performance.

Gigabyte Windforce, Sapphire, and EVGA have been my go-to preferences.

I'm no longer legendary just in my own mind!

Just don`t get MSI gaming 1070 they are dieing like flies, good choice would be:
Gainward phenix , Palit gamerock
Gigabyte G1
EVGA AMP, etc

Don't buy cheap basic model, they will boost less and you will lose 3-5% on hash rate

I never boost my cards as I fear to prematurely make them die.

The KFA2 as a pretty high clock compared to the other ones :

KFA2 :

Base : 1 594MHz
Boost : 1 784MHz

Gainward :

Base : 1 506MHz
Boost : 1 683MHz

Gigabyte :

OC Mode :
Base : 1 620MHz
Boost : 1 822 MHz

Gaming Mode :
Base : 1 594MHz
Boost : 1 784MHz

Asus Strix :

Gaming Mode (by default)
Base : 1 531MHz
Boost : 1 721MHz

OC Mode
Base : 1 506 MHz
Boost : 1 683 MHz

Never look at the set clock, you set it yourself, for a clock to hold you need good cooling
Its that easy just get the cheapest card with good cooling

few week ago here cheapest was Gainward phoenix which maybe had a top range cooler, better then MSI gaming crap and better then giga G1

core is boostable without issue, just end in a crash if too much, but mem if you abuse the oc too much it can damage them, you can tell that by a possible persisting artifact

I'm not paying a premium, because the only cards that are cheaper are the KFA2, the Gainward and the MSI Turbo that has probably problems of cooling.

I've been seeing the Gigabyte cards for the same price as everybody else.

Hint - those CHEAP cards have a bad tendancy to have fans DIE a lot, killing the card in many cases.
BAD IDEA to try to save a couple bucks that way.

IME avoid any card that does NOT use ball bearing fans - the longevity of those fans is a sad pathetic JOKE in 24/7 heavy-duty usage like mining imposes on a card.

I've never even heard OF "KFA2" "jetstream" or "gamerock" brands. I'd be VERY WORRIED about a brand that has so few sales it has no reputation at all.

Gainward and palit I've barely heard OF, but never seen a review of anything out of them just their actual web sites.

Jetstream and Gamerock are Palit models. Okay, so I understand your point about fans. Can you suggest me a good card ? I do not need to know what's wrong, because until someone experienced something bad with it that is not related to a bad luck and tells it publicly here, I won't consider.

So, to make short, what card do you recommend me ?

It looks very nice. For sure, that's far from being the cheapest, but given the many positive feedbacks I got on that card, I'll probably go for it. Do you think I can fit 4 of those in a motherboard ? It looks quite fat so I'm not sure.

Yes, It's not cheapest, but I'm not, that rich, to buy cheap things.
And It's classic 2slot card. And what you mean by fitting 4cards on the mobo,
you mean like this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1584973.msg15913928#msg15913928 Huh

So, to make short, what card do you recommend me ?

Any Gigabyte model - they're very good about using BB fans on everything and have been on "go to" lists for years as a result.
Any Sapphire model - I've never seen a sapphire model that does NOT use BB fans and have never had one die to date (have had a couple last so long they got to be useless due to badly outdated performance).
I've had good luck with EVGA so far and they do design the cards to last.

Asus and MSI have generally good reputations as mining cards, but I've not owned any of either of those myself.

To the 7-card person - I've never heard OF "Galax" "iGame" or "Dark Alliance".
I'm not sure if I've heard of "Inno3d"

No specific information about Zotac, but their rep has been spotty so far from what I HAVE seen - some good some bad.
