Wow. Is it that "painful" to wait for a confirmation? Cheesy I just get on with my life and forget about it...

I mostly read bitcoin news, listen to the music and read forum in the meantime. I don't post much as I mostly lurk around.
If transaction is stubborn I watch movies or play some games.

I'm building a scale model of Venice from my snot. I only do this when waiting for confirmations so my descendants will have to continue it after I'm gone.

Sometimes you need to perform another action once it is confirmed, so you are sort of tied to your PC.

It's is more frustrating that it need be considering I am at a PC most of the time anyway Cheesy

While I'm waiting for incoming transactions confirmation, I usually work on earning more in the meantime. While I'm waiting for the confirmation of outgoing transactions, I'm discussing with the client and helping him have a good time with me until we can proceed with the deal.

Fooling around with my cats.  It's funny, because I'm waiting for a confirmation at this very second.  Need to convert bitcoin to fiat so I'm waiting and waiting.   And posting on this forum, which is always a delight.

I also have no problems with confirmation time.
Transaction done, close the client and forget till whatever.
Just use decent fee when sending, don't be a cheap snake and all the aggravation will be thing of the past. In case of receiving, as well I quickly check for 1 confirmation and than I close the block explorer, call me naive or stupid but I have had zero problems to date.
Fee, fee and fee is the key Wink

What if you send some BTC to, say, a trading website and you are waiting for them to confirm? You seem to miss the point.

Even with a good fee it still takes an amount of time.

I don't wait much, I have instructed electrum to always put the recommended fee by putting dynamic fees in it and the maximum I wait usually is 10-15 minutes.

During this time I can post on the forum or watch daily news , videos, trend, life etc.

If you're legendary on here as I AM NOW, all you have to do is call up the Core team and you don't even have to wait for another block. And they also double the Bitcoin you're sending as a courtesy.

totally agree lol - I don't even leave the wallet open I just start working again
then check back later. Plus I have never really had to wait long as long as I've
used the recommended amount of fee for sending.

You are right, didn't thought about this scenario, I'm long gone from trading, never had the nerve for it but back in the day I was always transferring my coins overnight...
so the answer to "what are you doing" is sleeping Smiley But it is exactly as I sad before, TX and forget till morning or whatever.

Just relax and hope nothing unexpected will happen. Had a few issues with uncomfirmed transactions but I'm trying not to think about it.

Since I am familiar with several altcoins, the bitcoin confirmation time makes me frustrated. I keep checking every 2-3 minutes to see if i've received m bitcoin or not.
A lot of my transactions are currency conversions so I' always in a rush to use the bitcoin as quickly as possible.
