I don't think price is stable, since June price went to more then 700 $, then drop under 550 $. There was big problem for btc to come back to 600 $. After a while on 610 $, price fall back under 600 $ today.

Just because the price was close to $600 towards end-2013 and it is at $600 now, doesn't mean that the price has been stuck for the last few years.

There are always periods of stability. After the halving people aren't really sure what to do. If I was you I'd buy because this is still a time of cheap coins imo.

Really good question, it's at least 1 month that it is stable. I was thinking about that but don't know what to say. Many people were saying that after halving bitcoin's price will be higher and doubled but reality is different and today we see a stable bitcoin price. It wasn't even dumped below $520 to be precise during the bitfinex hack period.I don't know where you're digging your stats from.I might be wrong but bitfinex hack has nothing to do with bitcoins price I believe.It was the service which was hacked and not the protocol.

Bitcoins price is  never been stable since its moving, you could assume that its stable because  its playing around these price brackets.  In  my own view on  bitcoin price stabilize because there are no sellers and there no buyers and traders  does only  minimal trades  on bitcoin. I assume that  most people   just  holding their bitcoin and waiting for  the price increase but theres nothing to worry since  bitcoins adoption is unstoppable  and  for sure  people would  invest into bitcoin.

Halving  does not have any relation regarding on bitcoins somewhat  stable price since movements are basing  on  supply and demand  on bitcoin ecosystem. Price is  not  moving  for big amounts and we observe it  for how many weeks now and i assume theres  no  buyers  and  sellers as of this moment.

We can't always expect the price to be too volatile. Like you said, since there are no exciting news or events that affect the price in the past few months, we have been seeing lately just minor movements here and there, nothing really to write home about. Maybe, the surge in the months of May and early June are the last for this year, but I cannot be sure since there's still a few months to go before 2016 bids farewell.

there is enough support to keep it at this level. and there has already been some drops which none of them could last and the biggest one is the drop of the finex hack and as you can see in the history all of them jumped back up to $600 level again.

Yes, bitcoin prices had faced a selling pressure when bitfinex hack happened and also bitcoin has bounced back to $620 price levels after that.    Why people here have problem with stability? It`s good for bitcoin to be stable for some period of time, people can have more trust in that. Natural rise is always better then some pump. Stable price show how something is strong on the market in some point, with up coming new year price can go up. I agree not much of happening at this point except for the upcoming Segwit update that may push the price of bitcoin upto 700 usd -- 800 usd  if it is played and advertised greatly.  Since I heard this update will enable bitcoin for future upgrades and updates which is a good reason enough to gain more trust from the people.

As said this may be one of the reasons for the price being stable and do not have a big hike in it. As this stability is lasting for more than a month, many focuses on doubling the bitcoins now either through buying more bitcoins or earning more bitcoins. I personally think that the value we're sitting at is basically what we would be at otherwise, with a rise happening immediately after the halving or a slow increase upwards and the pricing in of the halving beforehand.
